Blooming Bus farms is a working urban flower, vegetable and fiber farm practicing sustainable, organic, natural farming practices. Spread out over 15 acres, upon completion, you’ll find 4 yurt sites and 3 byo tent sites. Working hard contributing to our compost are our alpaca and free range chickens. While this is a working farm, we try to not run any equipment before 10:00am! Inquire about reserving the entire property to host your group getaway!

Great Stay
Our campsite was really cute. The hammock was comfy and there was plenty of space. There were campers on site over, but they were far enough that we still felt alone. The night was quiet with no noise in the area. Alpacas in the morning — so cute!!

Notacomposting toilet/stilllovely
Really comfortable beds, great large tent space, close to restaurants and grocery and a great winery! There is sand at the site. Met up with friends who rented the bunk House. Our shower was nicer, but their bunk had heat and power. The bathroom situation is not a true composting toilet so get ready to be closer than normal to your deposits. This is a con for me, as I was expecting a more eco composting and green experience. With that said, lovely shade and waterproofing provided by extra bell tent top/shelter, lanterns, lights, table and chairs but I did wish I have brought my kitchen-camp-table. Alpacas as magically cute ~ we fed them pine trees & saw the owner walking them on leashes.

50th Birthday Camp Out.
Outstanding glamp camp! The details of providing comforts of camping was 5 Star! We are tent/hammock campers but for one night wanted to arrive and just enjoy time relaxing. This was spot on to arrive and enjoy camping. The night lighting was so fun. We found a gem at the speakeasy and comedy club as well.

Camper site 3
We visited in April. The hosts are just the nicest people. Amazingly quick response time to messages. Our site was level and nice sized! Lots of trees. Already has a hammock, small table, firewood for a fee and fire pit all at the site. A bit close to neighbors but we had no leaves on the trees so I think during the summer it would be pretty private!! Driveway in is a bit rough so if your car is very low profile this may be hard but I did see an alternative drive in that is very level so don’t let that stop you. We got to meet and feed the alps as which my daughter loved. Soil is a bit sandy at the site so I used longer metal tent stakes but they held well through high winds, heavy rains and a thunderstorm. The great thing is that if it rains the sand just drains the water so this was a huge bonus. It’s 40 min from Warren Dunes, 19 min to both Notre Dame and Potowatomi Zoo. Very close to gas stations and stores like Walmart also. But felt like you were away from it all. Will be back for sure!!
