Want to have access to the spectacular Western Porkies but wish you weren't surrounded by loads of RVs and generators at the Presque Isle Campground? This is your spot! We offer multiple options: in the forest, in the meadow, or on a bluff overlooking Lake Superior. All campsites are within a short walk of private Lake Superior beach access and old growth hemlock forest, and just a 20 minute walk to the majestic waterfalls of the Presque Isle Scenic Area!

Forest Campsite
IN the forest, COOL trees/rocks
This was a beautiful property to tent camp on! It was a short walk to the tent site from where we parked. My goal was to be away from people and the site was exactly what I wanted. Just trees. There were two available ways to get to the beach when we stayed. The view of Lake Superior was amazing! I could stay out there all day and just look at all the cool rocks. So much History on that beach, I loved it. The other trail was the boon-docking trail which was hard and sweaty but it was very cool to make our way through the old growth of the hemmlock. Getting to the beach was such a rewarding experience. I definitely want to go again and maybe stay at the air bnb that they rent out down the road which had the more accessible beach access. The rocks were so cool! On our way out( literally on the way out of Toms driveway) we stopped at Porcupine State Forest to go see some awesome waterfalls! The dogs were a nice addition too very friendly, sweet, and protective:)

Lake Superior Sunset Bluff
This was a absolutely gorgeous site, with a dreamy view of the sunset over Lake Superior. 10/10 recommend.
