Griff’s River Lot
The address was wrong (on the other side of the street) so it was hard finding it (in the dark lol) and wasn’t well marked with any signage saying it was Griffs river lot. the pictures were deceiving, it’s right on a busy road so there was lots of noise at night and also not very private or wooded. the dock was broken which i read in the reviews and still isn’t fixed. Host didn’t communicate when he was stopping by which we would’ve appreciated. The porta potty was very clean and nice and even despite all of these things we had fun

Site 2 - Griff's: The Back 40
Quiet woods
We camped in the woods. You can drive back there and basically set up wherever you would like. There is a lot of wood to pick out for your fire if you have the tools to process the branches (small saw, splitting wedge) it was very quiet (except for the crazy barred owls) and you can take a stroll down the wide path around the woods. Bill made his way down to check on us and make sure we had what we needed. He was kind to offer us to hang out at the river lot since we were kayaking. It was a Tuesday so there weren't a lot of campers around. Overall it was very enjoyable, quiet, secluded and we had a wonderful time.

Site 2 - Griff's: The Back 40
Very nice
We stayed at the high tower overlooking the field, great sunset views and lots of wildlife. If you stand on your truck you can barely see you torch lake from the top of the field. We walked into the woods and were very impressed with the amount of space and how many possible camping spots there were. Thanks for renting your beautiful land! Awesome hipcamp

Site 1 - Griff's: The Back 40
Site is up on a steep hill. Rod is incredibly rough getting there and the driveway. Directions took me miles to a different t site then directions to the actual site were not available luckily he answer and halfway got me directions. Site was up on a hill with a nice view. Just rough getting to site. Wouldn’t recommend trailer in there as I had my boat and was nervous

I loved camping here! It was perfect for my boyfriend and two dogs…lots of space for the dogs to chill and our tent!! It was so close to everything we wanted to do in Torch Lake and Bellaire as well (:
