I really loved the place; the tent campsite is so scenic and calm. The road leading there is very enjoyable as well. The hosts are very supportive and replied promptly to any questions we had. As it was my first camping experience, it made it great. The only room for improvement is that it's really hard to find the way and the spot, so just a suggestion to put up some more signboards. However, I really enjoyed my time with my friends there and will plan to visit again soon.

A Hidden Gem
What a treat and adventure was it to cross the creek! Beautiful nightly star gazing by the creek. We thought it was perfect, seclusion was perfect for our reactive dog, he was able to run around free. Probably buying some hip waders for next time. The tide was high after the rain making the departure a workout. Will be definitely renting again in the future! A bonus is town is not far away, 20 minute drive to a the Barrel House which I recommend for an 1886 old fashion. Thank you!

Island Blue
Non responsive host.
Couldn’t open confirmation email for directions to the campground. Host never responded to multiple texts to receive directions. Drove two hours to address that was listed. Was never able to stay there. Ended up driving an additional two hours to a state park that had an opening. Was pretty bummed, out $80 dollars.

Peaceful but a few extra fees
I was confused about a few things that soured my experience on check in. The posting said that luggable-loos and toilet paper are available for the site, but unfortunately, they had an associated cost. So we used some of the toilet paper we happened to have brought and were not as prepared as we thought. The outhouse noted in the posting is near the cabin and really within the green campsite, so seems not accessible to the yellow and blue sites users (plus you have to cross knee-height creek with water shoes to get there). Firewood is a dollar a piece, so you definitely need to bring cash and I was not prepared for that. We also had trouble with the lock at entrance due to a miscommunication in the posting, but JT said he is going to fix that.
I did not have signal at the location, so drove back into Welch to try to figure out WiFi to find the passcode. Definitely bring screenshots!
This was a lovely site, well executed and thought through. Just felt a little "nickel and dimed" once we got there after our difficult check in with passcode issues. Otherwise, if you bring cash and know the cost fees, you will have a great time. At the time of posting $5 for the toilet paper and bucket, and $1 per piece of wood.

Green Canopy Cabin
My family and friends had an amazing time. The water level to cross the river was higher than usual but JT met us when we got there. He assisted us across with our belongings in his tractor. The land was private and beautiful and the cabin was so nice to have as an alternative to a tent. I highly recommend JTs and can't wait to return myself.
