Once a main railway for lumber in Hancock County, this small 24-acre homestead, acquired in 2010, is home to a variety of farm animals, edible landscaping including multiple varieties of fruit trees and small vegetable gardens. Completely wooded at the time of purchase, the farm is still a work in progress. Daily farm life involves upgrading fences, clearing the 5-acre pasture, building animal pens, installing rain catchment systems, composting, harvesting, canning, baking and our favorite....... feeding the furry and feathered friends. Pitch your tent in our wooded acreage nestled along side a flowing creek bed. Relax on the sand and watch the squirrels play or close your eyes to meditate with the sounds of nature. A true primitive camping experience awaits you. You can fish in the pond for your own dinner and gather eggs for breakfast. Try snacking on farm breads and biscuits with homemade jellies. Depending on the season, picking wild blackberries or some of the farm produce available gives a glimpse into the daily life of living at Creekside Farm. Our goal is to provide an unplugged experience for you to unwind and get back to nature so you can release the stress of everyday and enjoy the nature and serenity of our little farm. Inquire about homesteading classes and our bi annual homesteading festival. Classes are on Saturday mornings in January/February. The festival is a small but super packed event in the fall and spring each year. What a great camp!
Our stay was a quick in and out, but I was completely satisfied with everything: communication from the hostess, Alicia. The amenities available (even though we didn't use them...it was impressive), the quiet, the lack of light pollution. All of it. Loved it! I am quite happy to give it five stars. There's only one tiny quirky thing and it's not Alicia's fault so just be aware. Google maps will only take you half way there. It will quit in the middle of the road leading to the camp. Just keep going. You can't miss it even if you think you have! I paid attention and it's exactly 1 mile from where the pavement ends. That's it! Don't miss it! You won't be sorry if you make this part of your outdoor plans!

Homemade biscuits and a peacock
Stayed here with a couple of friends for almost a week. Had a lovely time, enjoyed the creek, peace & quiet as well as the ducks, peacock, turkeys and such. My friends have a service dog and had a slight run in with a young rude female camper that let her 3 huge dogs run loose. The hosts were quick to resolve the issue. She cursed out the host and was told politely to promptly vacate the premise. Please disregard that belligerent young camper's negative and untruthful review. I highly recommend this spot and really appreciate the hosts consideration for our safety. Thank you.

Showed up soaking wet from motorcycle ride in and Alicia and CJ took great care of us. Fresh coffee and eggs straight out from under the chickens. Thanks for hospitality

Alicia was kind and told us about a nice hike. We had biscuits that she made and jam- both delicious! I would definitely stay here again if in the area! Great hosts!
