Many generations of Native American tribes made these Ozark Mountain river bluffs home, long before settlers came from the east. Listen to the music of the wildlife or play your own music in this remote peaceful paradise. Learn more about this land: Firewood is provided! Camp in a peaceful setting above the Niangua River under the canopy of tall oak trees. Enjoy 25 acres of complete privacy and seclusion! It's a pretty steep trail from the campsite down to the banks of the river, and then a short trail to the canoe put-in spot where a 3-person canoe awaits. I never leave google reviews, but this place deserves one!! This was a very thoughtful camp, had all the necessities we need for our family! My daughter personally wanted to tell you this was an amazing camp site and she had so so so much fun. We have a family of 9 and I felt so comfortable letting my kids run free and explore. I love love love how isolated it is, it felt like home. We are very excited for our next camping trip and to come here. Has plenty of shade too! The water was so helpful with all dirty kids. Great job Jack, this has got to be the best camping trip I’ve ever had.

Great camping spot! Kids and dogs really enjoyed having the place to ourselves. The log splitter was nice to have available!

This is a GREAT campsite. Obviously well cared for…. Private, beautiful setting, even some amenities! Loved the hydraulic log splitter. I will definitely be back.

Anniversary Trip

We LOVED our anniversary camping trip here! We stayed 3 nights with 2 days in the canoe on the river, up stream and down stream without seeing another human. Back to nature!

I loved tent camping here. We also went on the River and it was so beautiful. The accommodations were amazing. My dogs also enjoyed hanging out in the river.

Slice of Heaven

I always love coming here. Jack the host is awesome. It’s a great place for a large group. Or even for solo camping. Very secluded. And it’s a beautiful stretch of river! It’s a little tricky to get the kayaks down and up but once your there it’s a slice of heaven. I set up a hammock on the river and laid in the sun for a day. Or you can try your luck at fishing the Niangua. There’s plenty to do at the site. Also the town has everything you need and it’s only 10 minutes away. You can get some service on the trail to the campsite. All in all it’s my favorite site on hipcamp. The host is a really cool dude and it’s beautiful scenery. He’s done a couple upgrades since I’ve last been like a new camp sink and cleared out some more land as well as a nice pile of wood and a decent Latrine. I HIGHLY Recommend!!!!!
