This ranch was homesteaded in 1896 by a German immigrant, and has been in the family for 120 years. We enjoy sharing that history with anyone who is interested. We have 5 designated drive-in sites along the West Boulder River. Each is separate and well spaced. Only #1 has any close traffic - and that is occasional ranch vehicles.

Site 5 - Ellison Ranch Camp
This site is amazing! We love the atmosphere and the ability for the kids and the dogs to run free! The running water from the river brings joy throughout the entire stay while also allowing us to play and fish nearby. We plan to be back and have shared this info with multiple friends! The host is very accommodating and is quick to respond when questions arise. Thanks for being our first and last camping site for this camping season and we plan to be back next summer.

Great spot
We absolutely loved this spot. It’s no wonder it’s been owned by the same family for 100 years. Site 2 is pretty small for a turnaround with a big trailer. I backed down the drive to get out and my trailer is only about 15 feet

Incredible experience. The campsite alongside the river was hard to find the words…just amazing! Plenty of wildlife, just the frosting on a great cake!!

There is no finer Montana camping experience. The best parts? Kent, the stars, the river, the epic landscape, the complete lack of cell coverage.
