Flat grass with the mission Mountain View. Lots of wild life around. Hawks, deer, lots of pheasants. One of the prettiest views on the western side of Montana.
If you are just looking for a place to park overnight, this spot is fine. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. The views are gorgeous. However that is pretty much where the nice things end.
No privacy for using the restroom out in the middle of the field. The grass we parked in was very tall and not enjoyable to walk through with our little dog. No clearly defined fire pit or place or way to gather wood.
Like I said at the beginning, fine if all you need is a parking spot for a few hours, but not worth the price.
It truly is a beautiful property, but be prepared to pitch your tent in 3 feet of dense grass full of cow pies. Also there’s no way you’re getting in there without high clearance and AT tires. We were fine but if we had showed up in a less capable vehicle we woulda been screwed.
Could be a really great spot if the host would clear out a place for an actual campsite and maybe build a fire pit. If you do decide to camp here, bring bear spray—lots of fruit trees around.
I booked this site and was unable to locate it. The GPS coordinates and directions written out were different which caused confusion. Kelsey did not respond to my texts or calls.
