Primitive camping with no water or trash service, pack in / pack out. There is a portable toilet. Located in the Alberton Gorge on the Clark Fork River, this is a premier location for the whitewater enthusiast. Take advantage of the class II, III rapids in your kayak or raft, or even surf. Alternatively, enjoy the relaxing Sandy Beach just a few minutes walk from the campground to swim and gaze at the beautiful argilite cliffs. The campground is near both the Interstate and a railroad so there is some ambient noise.

Campsite as advertised. Solid meadow location. Portapotty super clean. Close to highway and a train line, but it didn’t bother us too much.

Overall it was a clean and well kept site. It was a little too close to the freeway and train to sleep well for me. Also, the gate to the property is very close to public access areas and pedestrians are able to access it, so it’s not very private. As a solo female camper, this gave me mixed feelings.

East Meadow Camp
This was super easy to get to and very private. Right off the highway, so there is some highway noise, and you can see the highway, but it really wasn't bothersome. The river/gorge was awesome. It's a bit of a trek down to the sandy beach so wear good shoes, but you can do it in flip-flops too, lol, I did. Portajohn was super clean and nice to have. Would definitely recommend!

Precipice Camp
Really cool spot right by the river! It’s pretty close to the interstate and RR, so there is some noise, but not too bad. Camped here for a few nights during truly exciting weather and still had an awesome time. Thanks!
