Wide open desert with history. In the 1800s the area was prospected for lead and silver. It was also used as farmland decades ago, and now is infamous for it's world class night skies and Area 51 air force installation. Although you can see planes taking off towards the Nellis Bombing Range, or see jetfighter training exercises or even test flights, the US Government still hasn't acknowledged the existence of the facility... that you are not allowed to enter. This is also a UFO hotspot and required visiting for those that believe Earth may have visitors.
This land means a lot to a lot of different people. For some, it means peace from city life. For others, it is the perfect setting for reflection on your life. Many find it to be the kind of adventurous or challenging tent camping they've sought. You'd be foolish not to count yourself among those the photographers, amateur astronomers, or souls that enjoy the continental United States' "darkest skies" with the least amount of light pollution in this part of the world. Some simply like camping and getting free air shows. Finally, if you enjoy UFO stories or stories of our men in black, there is an itinerary for you here that nowhere else can provide. This area is on many "independent researchers" must-visit list.
If all that weren't enough, there is an indescribable feeling of bedding down for the night in this valley. Maybe 100% of people don't feel it, but so many past visitors who have spent the night near the Extraterrestrial Highway (the real name of Nevada State Route 395 that this land is accessible from) can vouch for it. Primitive, Raw Land - RV/Camper Vehicle Highly Recommended.
Lowest light pollution in the USA! Raw beauty in the desert for adventurous souls. Nature is balanced by the 'secret military' jet planes that tear across the sky randomly from Area 51. Different kinds of folks will enjoy this very unique spot.
The most outdoorsy types looking for something new, travelers on spiritual journeys, and those with equipped RVs will appreciate this unique stay. (Let's not forget, fans of UFOs and/or seeing Government secrets also get a unique kick out of this place. Check out the pictures and read more about this listing! There are zero hookups. This is raw land. There are very limited amenities (read the rest of the listing and view pictures), but a travel vehicle with the basics is VERY HIGHLY recommended.
FINDING THE PROPERTY: Before your booking date, you will be sent a trove of information. This includes a guided step-by-step picture map of how to reach the property from the highway. To further eliminate any doubt, there is a video available that shows the full, entire, real time drive (from highway to property) that pauses at landmarks to show you how to get to the property. Anyone who has reviewed this information before attempting to reach the property has had zero trouble finding it. If you wait till you're out in the middle of the desert at night to review this information and find that you are on a network with no cellphone signal... you're playing life on hard mode and you may encounter difficulties finding the campsite. 10 minutes of prep before your journey will go along way.
Other Notes: Please do not shine laser lights at aircraft, or on to land that is not included in this property. Highly NOT recommended.
Any type of vehicle, airplane, or spaceship is welcome. However, there are no hookups. Imagine your vehicle is a craft that is taking you to the surface of the moon. (It's not far off from that at night.) This isn't a luxury resort, it's raw untamed land for those with souls that seek adventure. Plan for your craft to be self-sufficient for the duration of your stay. There is a nearby gas station, hotel, restaurant and bar. (Defeats the purpose of camping out here by yourself/just your group, but good to have nearby if the need comes up and it's also worth visiting!)
Vehicles under 304 meters allowed
There is a half circle containing tire tracks at the beginning of the property. Please try to keep your vehicles here, or very close to here. If you have any questions, you are able to call. (Cell service verified.)

Surface type: grass-or-paddock
Desert landscape. Very level. The ground is somewhat soft. Tent stakes will go in deep without any problem. Super heavy vehicles are asked to stay near the drive-in circle, so as not to tear up the land. Once your site is set up, the whole property and valley is yours to explore! (Except for the military base that the government says does not exist, naturally.)

Simple and Peacerful
5 m car
Great primitive camp spot a few miles off the famous Nevada ET highway. Amenities are easily accessed in nearby Rachel such as gas and food/drink at the Little A'Le'Inn.
I saw a herd of antelope on my drives in and out as well as so many shooting stars in the night sky. Peaceful and accessible. One of my fave spots to stay on my road trip.
Alex is a responsive host quick to answer messages. Dreamland is exactly as he describes and his directions are spot on. Simple and peaceful. Exactly what I was looking for.

Great if you can be totally off grid. Fantastic stars! Didn’t see any flight activity and it was dusty as I expected in the desert but very quiet and peaceful. Definitely going back just for the stars!

A magical Night and spot
5 m campervan
Myself and my husband came here for an overnight and we were a bit dubious because it is really is in the middle of nowhere but if you’re looking for a unique experience with the most incredible night skies, out in the wide open, away from everybody & your noisy life - then this is the most wonderful spot.
Alex was a wonderful host and very responsive and helpful.
I would highly recommend for a ‘get away from it all’ with zero light pollution and magical skies!!
