Experience a unique stay in the Bell Tent at Fluffy Butt Rescue! Fluffy Butt Rescue is a vegan microsanctuary located in Holland Twp. NJ, providing a safe forever home to farmed animals who were neglected, injured, unwanted and abused. FBR is a 501(c)(3) registered charity and 100% of the funds from your stay directly benefits the residents at FBR! Relax with a stream-side crackling fire and a sky full of stars. Hear the local wildlife of foxes and coyotes at night, and fall asleep to the sound of the babbling brook. Wake up to the chickens conversing over their breakfast and the quiet hustle of the sanctuary. In addition to meeting the animal residents at Fluffy Butt Rescue you can enjoy nearby river towns within a half an hour from our sanctuary. Volunteering opportunities are available, as well as art workshops - just contact your host, Rae, ahead of time! ****PLEASE NOTE**** -Make your stay meat-free! We are a vegan sanctuary, meaning all humans and rescued animals eat vegan/plant-based. We appreciate our guests doing the same. -The parking area and porta potty are a short but steep, uphill walk from the camp site, about 1-2 minute walk. -The bell tent is located across a stream. A footbridge is used to access the bell tent. The footbridge is long and narrow and does not have railings, therefore we do NOT suggest this site for young kids. -The tent is in the sun from late morning until about 4pm. -While there is no running water in or near the bell tent, we can provide a spouted pitcher of fresh potable water upon request. -The bell tent is equipped with a full size bed, , small table, dinnerware (plates, bowls, cups, mugs and utensils), percolator, deck of cards, can opener, matches, first aid kit, bug spray, and hand sanitizer. -Firewood and kindling are not included, but can be added on for an additional fee. -Fluffy Butt Rescue is committed to inclusion. Unforgettable Glamping Trip!!
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Bell Tent after winning an auction at the Diner En Vert event. It was so relaxing reading on the hammock, making s'mores around the campfire, playing cards (with Rudy’s cute face on them) in the tent, and hearing the sounds of nature around us. We got to meet the animals Rae takes care of at The Fluffy Butt Sanctuary, and they were all so happy. I really enjoyed seeing their unique personalities shine, especially after hearing about their past’s. I’m so glad I won the auction, because I didn’t know this existed before then- if you get a chance to visit, you will not regret it! Say hi to the animals for me 👋🏼

The Bell Tent at Fluffy Butt Rescue
Magical little Farm!
This was such a perfect little getaway!! Brilliantly tucked away in the woods, Fluffy Butt was definitely a magical little gem. We were greeted on the property by two of the friendliest sheep, and lovely cat who walked us over to our tent, next to a beautiful walkable and swimmable creek! Rea was an incredible host who has crafted such a beautiful rescue. It was quiet and clean and the ideal run away to the woods!! We definitely hope to be back in the future!!

Animal lovers dream camp!
Absolutely amazing! This was totally a great find thanks to Hipcamp. Rae’s space was absolutely lovely. Beautiful plot of land in NJ, wonderful tent setup, + OMG the animals! It was so cool to come to a campsite + see pigs + sheep just walking around! Rae + their spouse were wonderful hosts, talking to us about their work with Fluffy Butt Rescue. I will definitely be back again!

The Bell Tent at Fluffy Butt Rescue
Rae was an incredible host! She provided us with hammers to go play at ringing rocks park, we loved the stories of all the animals. the bed was super comfy! we heard red fox at night and enjoyed cooking our dinners over the campfire. we hiked at Mt Tamminy in del water gap, swam in the river and ran on the Delaware canal trail. excellent experience !!

Such a great experience!
Fluffy butt provided a beautiful setting, comfy bed and convenient creek for our warm two night stay! We highly recommend you consider this location for your next low key, private camping adventure. We loved the animals and how gracious Rae was as a host. We enjoyed the spot so much that we bailed on kayaking just to spend more time on the land. It was a real treat to find this gem and to be able to day trip to Frenchtown and New Hope. Rae was gracious enough to take us on a private tour of the rescue where we got to meet all of the animals! She was attentive to our needs the entire weekend and her passion for providing a welcoming space added to our stay. We brought a small wagon to transport our things from the car to the tent which we highly recommend if you have one. The temperature got down to the low 60's and we were warm enough with the blankets on the bed. We really didn't have to bring much more than food and clothes. Play in the creek, use the hammock and enjoy the animals!
