Shift Pod 1
I like to stay in places that feel like an experience (a reminder that I'm alive on planet earth) and I've found a lot of cool spots on Hipcamp, but this was the first time I've gotten to camp inside an art installation. The space is beautiful, and conveniently located just avoid 5 minutes from town. I glamped in the Shift Pod, and it got very hot in the afternoon, but that's to be expected in late June. I just headed into town for a bit and returned around dusk. Sleeping was very comfortable when the sun went down, with a spacious and soft bed. Overall, the experience was easy in, easy out, with friendly residents around nearby so I always felt safe. A bonus for me is that I would usually like to run or hike at some point in my trips, but that's hard when you're in rural or unfamiliar areas. It was fun to jog through the gravel footpaths by the sculptures and with the community dog. The onsite refrigerator (which belongs to the residents, but they let me have a little bit of space) and showers with hot water were what I consider high luxury. 10/10 would return and recommend.

art city beautiful place for all :)
Nestled amidst nature's embrace, Art City Campground offers a unique fusion of camping and artistic exploration. The monumental art pieces sourced from Burning Man itself, creating an otherworldly atmosphere that sparks creativity and wonder from the moment you arrive. As an artist with a long-awaited desire to experience the essence of Burning Man, my stay at Art City Campground was nothing short of exhilarating and inspiring, and beyond the art, the campsite itself is well-maintained and thoughtfully laid out. The facilities are clean, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and there's a sense of community among fellow campers who share a passion for adventure and art, Whether you're an artist seeking inspiration, a traveler looking for a unique camping experience, or simply someone drawn to the allure of Burning Man's art, Art City Campground offers a retreat that nourishes the soul and ignites the imagination. It's a place where art is not just admired, but lived and breathed, making every moment a canvas for creativity.
my time at Art City Campground was nothing short of magical. If you're ready to embark on a journey where art meets adventure, look no further than Art City Campground—it's an experience you won't soon forget.

Art City is Magical!
Art City is a hidden gem and must see! There is a magical creative vision here and we can’t wait to visit again as keeps progressing! We stayed in tents in June. Days were warm but there was wind and became cooler at night. The outdoor, private, warm shower was a highlight as well. Very friendly artists and staff. We loved the experience and wish them all the best on this exciting endeavor! Happy to support it and highly recommend!!

In Progress and worth a stop.
This is an amazing Place to camp, totally out of the box of my/your expectations. Mostly In good ways. I’ll definitely stop back on my way to the East Coast from Tucson next year to see the progress. The outdoor installations are pretty phenomenal, especially at night! More our planned.

My time at ART City was actually legendary! Got to work with an amazing team putting together Big Art while camping alongside a community of doers and dreamers that have poured their souls into this incredible project. The grounds are immaculate and the amenities surpassed all my previous camping experiences by far. Matty and his team have gone above and beyond to curate a unique experience that has left me feeling inspired and fulfilled! Can’t wait to come back as soon as possible! Thank you for everything!
