At El Ranchito, you will find a sweet spot to tuck yourself in on an historic land grant tract with beautiful Mountain views. We are nestled in the lovely valley, in Ranchos de Taos, close enough to town happenings and far enough to feel the peace of simple living. The campsite allows parking for a small van or camper or one vehicle. There is a lovely grassy area for pitching a tent. The property includes gardens thriving in season and farm animals. In our lovely outside kitchen, you can buy fresh eggs, garden vegetables, fresh goat milk and cheese when available. Or preorder seasonal fruit pies. Our friendly hosts, with their menagerie of pets and animals, will welcome you to this true Taos experience.At El Ranchito, you will find a sweet spot to tuck yourself in on an historic land grant tract with beautiful Mountain views. We are nestled in this lovely valley, in Ranchos de Taos, close enough to town happenings and far enough to feel the peace of simple living. You can park a van, spread out in a small vintage trailer, pitch a tent or any small one vehicle set up you may have, and relax with Muscovy ducks happily living nearby, gardens thriving in season and a welcoming host with her menagerie of pets and animals …perhaps even supplying you with eggs and salad greens if you are lucky. If you like funky and fun you will love it here.

Besitas to La Ranchita :)
I had a wonderful time camping on the Ranchito. Cristina was there when I pulled up to show me around, and the grassy tent spot got me out of my car for the night. In the morning, their dog Selma briefly adopted me and Cristina made me some coffee :) As a solo female traveler I always seek out spots that will feel safe and this was certainly one of them!

Cristina has a wonderful spot, just outside of town with beautiful mountain views. But, the best part are all the creatures she cares for. After hearing I love animals, she introduced me to all her furry and feathered friends. The happy goats and excited puppy were my welcoming committee every time I showed back up after exploring. Cristina was warm, wonderful and easy to deal with. Her space feels very authentic and I hope to return some day.

Christina’s Ranch was a highlight of my trip! Had a beautiful view of the mountains, and it was so fun hanging out amongst the critters. The camper is comfy and Christina provided me with extra blankets and a heater since it’s still chilly out. Hope to come back and visit someday!

Take Time in Taos
Christina was great about responding and meeting us, getting us oriented and always making sure we were comfortable. Her set up was just what I was hoping for, simple living, goats, chickens, ducks, dogs…(and even 2 baby goats born a day earlier!!) We didn’t want to leave and stayed an extra night. There’s so much to see and do in the area and it was just so easy and relaxing being here, and such a memorable and satisfying experience for us townies and animal lovers. It was hard to leave! The trailer was comfortable and had everything we needed, although we didn’t get a chance to prepare food, which would have been fun.

Cristina is a friendly and attentive host. She values the landscape around her and is very authentic about her love of nature. I had a lovely night in sweet vintage trailer.
