Our rustic Wild West themed and well appointed casita is 100% pet friendly complete with your own private hot springs soaking tub. There is a kitchen, bathroom w/shower and a secluded outdoor patio for all the privacy you need to enjoy the benefits of wellness and relaxation located in the heart of the historic bathhouse district of Truth or Consequences, NM.Our vintage casita has a private entry to your own personal hot springs oasis which is available for 24 hour soaking access in a two person cowboy tub. There is a kitchen w/mini fridge, bathroom with a shower, internet access, mini split ac/heater and everything you need to make your stay cozy, relaxing, and comfortable. Our modern meets rustic Wild West New Mexican casita is perfect for a couples or single persons desert wellness retreat and we are also 100% pet friendly! Our property has its very own ancient mineral spring well that pumps hot geothermal water out of the ground at 95°F and can be raised to any temperature you desire with with our state-of-the-art flash heating system. We also provide guests with robes, towels, tea, coffee, bottled water and essentials for the ultimate soakin' experience! We look forward to having our casita become your home away from home in the high desert of New Mexico where you can relax, rejuvenate, and enjoy the hot springs in a down to earth setting and judgement free zone.

The Outlaw Casita

Mixed bag

Sometimes it's hard to tell what's going on, whether you are just off or it's the place. In my recent experience with the Outlaw Casita, I suspect that it was a bit of both The hosts were very responsive when they found that I hadn't had any heat in the Casita the first night and I appreciated that. However there were enough little glitches to make it not so accommodating...the deadbolt lock wouldn't catch, the gate code worked on and off and the hot tub needed to be filled and drained by each guest. If I had known that beforehand I would have tried a lot harder to get there earlier. It was ironic that showers were limited by a very small hot water heater (Which was going to be my consolation for being tired and cold), in an effort to save water, when the hot tub is being filled and drained so much! It was very much a mixed bag for me, but I do appreciate the little Casita. I also appreciated the recommendation for a veterinarian and their concern. My mistake was not reaching out beforehand and asking about the set up. I normally do that, but because I was taking a break after having my husband in intensive care for 10 days I failed on my part as well. I have a reactive dog ( to other dogs) and it was not a good setup for us since the dog who lives next door is also reactive and we had one bad scene of fence fighting before I got it under control. The Outlaw Casita

The Outlaw Casita was a wonderfully, quirky and delightful place to stay for a couple of nights. Well stocked kitchen. Great record player and old record collection. And a magnificant cowboy tub to soak in privacy under the stars. Walking distance to most stuff. Big thumbs up !
