Beautiful peaceful campground near the river, lots of birdlife. Clean amenities, and Allan is a great host. We were lucky to have it to ourselves, a bonus!

Perfect place to chill
19 ft travel trailer
Loved our night away. Peaceful spot unexpected amenities such as port-a-loos and even a shower with gas hot water meant no need to use our van amenities! Allan was wonderful providing a guided tour of the property & history/details of the area. We took a swim in the creek, whilst not clear water, it was lovely & refreshing with the afternoon sun beaming down. Bit of a walk but that happens in the bush. The starry night was also amazing - so vast & clear, magical. Drive into Branxton for supplies a short 5min drive. It was a perfect spot for a couple to chill for the night.
Mountain backdrop beautiful watching groups of parachuters drifting down. We’ll be back!

Alan Moore is a gracious and generous host. The site on the banks of the Hunter River could not be more wonderful. We were self contained so we did not us the provided facilities although there was a toilet and shelter shed fr those who wanted or needed them. The directions to the site were fine but the gate needs to be opened by Alan on arrival so keep his mobile phone handy. The camp is not far from the New England Hwy so it was easy to continue our journey north to Toowoomba.

Stayed there for Australia Day long weekend and it was just fantastic. Not over booked so there was plenty of space between camps. Ground was flat in most places. Beautifully quiet with great river views. Grounds were well kept and Allan was so helpful on check in and popped around each day to make sure everything was ok. We will definitely be going back and can’t recommend this place enough
