4WD /SUV - Rocklee is on Wiradjuri land, a short drive from Capertee, surrounded by Gardens of Stone and Capertee national parks and the Mugii Murrum-ban State Conservation Area.
Rocklee is 2.5 hours from Sydney and Dubbo.
Rocklee has a mix of no-longer used paddocks, untouched bush, and two ephemeral creeks (meaning they sometimes have water and sometimes don’t).
Access is 4wd only, through the conservation area, which has beautiful pagodas and endless bushwalks.
Hipcampers can choose from plenty of space where they'd like to set up camp.
Please be careful as some paddocks are overgrown and fences have come down, and there are wombat holes.
Some areas of road across our property have wombat holes so drive slowly and be careful.
There are no amenities here, campers need to be self contained and leave no trace.
Absolutely beautiful area. The drive in was incredible from the amazing views to the 4x4 track down to the farm. This spot was secluded and tuck away under the cliff face. Definitely recommend for people who want to escape the crowds and enjoy a quiet weekend away.
Awsome campsite!! Huge flat paddock area to yourself with view of genowlan mountain. The host gave easy directions to the site. I would highly recommend camping here.
Very happy. Great privacy, tranquil, shade, tracks for long walks and a little water for the dog to cool off. The track into the property is pretty steep and so best not to arrive after dark and definitely 4wd to come back out if pulling a camper trailer. One of the best places I have camped.
Beautiful site, completely private and peaceful, just what I wanted. Felt safe the whole time.
Emma was super kind, helpful and responsive.
Would definitely stay again.
