Camp next to Borra Creek where kingfishers can be spotted flying around, you may even catch a wedge tailed eagle or two cruising the thermals. Guests have access to a composting toilet. Being so close to the owners house collectively we did not like. Having said that its a great spot. A couple of basics ... the area is wet. Once the grounds are slashed, the leaches won't be a problem. We averaged 8 - 10 leaches per person morning and night. Great place and with some attention to detail would easily become a bucket list location. No cell coverage means it's ideal for those truely wanting to get away which is why we picked this spot. With minimal effort, mowed/slashed grounds and a dedicated access point to the river from the sloping campsites and this place is magic. Take plenty of tropical strength bug spray and the leaches won't be an issue. This is a working cattle property so expect cow dung, flies, insects and serenity. We have already planned our next return visit. Enjoy true camping the country side. It's worth the effort.

11 ft pop-up camper
Deer Flat is a great campsite. It's at the end of the road. You really feel like you have entered a new world. The sound of the birds, frogs and creek are amazing. We had a visit from Max - Sarah's dog - amazing dog, very loving. Sarah is a great host and lovely to chat with. We definitely be back. Thank you for having us.

Sarah's property is a hidden gem. Sarah was so lovely and welcoming. Sarah met us at the off-road as well and we followed her in which was so nice. The camping spot was secluded and picturesque with a great fire ring and fire wood can be purchased. It was so special and peaceful and we wished we could stay longer and will next time.
