We have owned this property for nearly forty years and enjoyed it as youngsters and still do. Now we welcome others to see what we have treasured. Lovely bush walks, bike tracks, 4x4 trails, wildlife and the sounds of nature in the trees. Close to Mittagong but far enough to be hidden. Near by are more bush walks, old train line and mini shopping centre with a couple of food outlets. Nothing fancy but essentials covered.Our property is located in Balmoral in the Southern Highlands region of NSW. We are just over an hour from Sydney CDB and within easy reach of all the great towns and beautiful scenery this area has to offer. We have a large level paddock available where you can set up camp and relax in our tucked away beautiful forest location. Access is via dirt road, easy access to property. Enjoy a campfire in the cool evenings along with some brilliant star gazing. Ample firewood provided. There are plenty of lovely forest walks and bike rides that you can enjoy. There is also some excellent 4WD tracks in the nearby area. The area is home to lots of wonderful wildlife that you can see both on and off the property, there is also a number of creeks, photo opportunities and tranquility in abundance. Campers must be fully self contained with their own toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The paddock is accessible from the road but long vehicles may have turning and reversing issues. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash whilst on the property. Campfires must be in the fire pit provided and are only permitted if there are no restrictions in place.

Stunning skies, complete privacy and friendly hosts made this a Christmas to remember. We were a little nervous about our caravan on the long dirt road in, but all was fine and we got in and out easily.

Pleasant Overnight Stay

16 ft pop-up camper

The End of the Road is a super-nice spot. Located near Balmoral in the Southern Highlands area of NSW, surrounded by bush with a level, large camp site. Easy access and lots of space. Peaceful and relaxing. Telstra comms good if required. Lots of generously provided firewood and containerised water. The hosts even kindly provided us with fresh eggs - just right for breakfast, thank you Steve and Cathy. Plenty of trails to hike and explore. This a real gem of a spot and well worth camping at. Be self-sufficient with water, food and toilet. Nothing must be left on site. We really enjoyed the solitude and relaxation at this site, whilst being only a couple of hours from Sydney and intend to return in the not too distant future. We highly recommend for well-equipped campers.

Quick weekend getaway

A beautiful little hideaway. 11mins to a tasty chinese takeaway (if you forgot to bring dinner). Host gave us fresh eggs for breaky. A great stay and looking forward to the hut being completed, will be an awesome little get away. The doggos had a great time, and did the walk down to the creek.
