All to yourself

40 acres of abundant bird life in native gardens, natural bush land and the pre historic vibes of Yak Yak creek. The creek features mesmerising rock formations, waterfalls in season and eerie tranquility. A birders delight, this property is home to over 30 observed species. Watch them from the patio or stroll into the forest and soak in the wonder. Wake up to the abundant sounds of nature, sipping on your morning brew in bed with northern views to the Border Ranges National Park. Watch the mist rise through the valley as the day warms. Artist’s bring your easel for some Plein Air indulgence and photographers bring your favourite lenses . Enjoy a hot spa in winter and the cool waters of Yak Yak creek or the spring fed dam in summer. Day or night the land takes you on a journey of blessing. All still a stones throw from Lismore for restaurants, shops and the northern rivers best markets. The cabin is privately located 30m beside the main house surrounded by garden and open Eucalypt forest. The valley views are spectacular, which can be enjoyed from the hot spa. It is a converted bay of our motorcycle garage/shed. It has close views to the bush frequent with Kookaburras, wallaby’s, Yellow Robins and Honey Eaters, plus distant views to the Border Ranges. It includes a private shower, toilet, smart TV, air conditioning, electric cooking appliances and a patio with table, chairs and lounges (for lazy book reading and arvo naps). There is a fire pit at the back of the shed set and supplied with timber; just not usable in the event of a total fire ban. The creek is accessible via a marked bush track, requiring good enclosed shoes and a little fitness. We’re happy to provide guests with a guided walk. The bird life is so abundant and varied throughout the day, that you won’t need an alarm in the mornings. But you might need a camera and hours to waste on the patio just watching them. Motorcyclist are welcome to undercover lock up parking. Car parking is available on the driveway. This cabin is perfect for couples, keen birders, photographers and motorcyclists after a day’s ride through the beautiful back roads of the Northern Rivers.

A cabin that's worth every cent
This was the most beautiful romantic stay, Aliki was super welcoming and friendly. The view was incredible, the spa was amazing, the walking trail on the property was magical. We even walked with cows down by the creek. Perfect romantic destination!

Second time of pure bliss
This is my second time staying here, and we absolutely love it. Even though the main house is close, you would never know anyone lived there. Aliki and her partner are very respectful. It’s quite for excellent sleeps, but still a close drive to Lismore if you need shopping supplies or if you’re into supporting local businesses like we are go have some food out. We’ll be back again.

Very relaxing stay, Aliki and Pat are great hosts. Room was spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need for a short or longer stay. Tranquil property with great views, plenty of wildlife to look at including some very friendly cows. Spa worked great and a very relaxing way to spend a weekend. Do yourself a favour and book the Jewel of Caniaba.

Beautiful & Peaceful Retreat
Beautiful part of the world! Aliki our host was kind, hospitable and so so friendly! Aliki and Pat already had the fire pit set up on arrival and the hot tub was on and ready to enjoy! The cabin is impeccable, cozy and modern it had everything we needed plus more! The hot tub overlooked spectacular views of the valley. Yak Yak creek is an easy 15 minute walk from the cabin through beautiful bush and creek beds. It is so peaceful! I would highly recommend Aliki’s to all future Hipcampers. We will be back!

Perfect place to reset
We loved our stay at Aliki’s, out amongst nature with a view and everything you need. We enjoyed a drink at the fire pit, it was ready to light on arrival. The spa was heated for us, a great spot for star gazing. Comfy bed, lovely artwork, clean space and amazing bird life in the morning, highly recommended! Thanks Aliki and Pat.

Perfection…
This hipcamp is by far the best little piece of paradise we have stayed in for a while, better then a lot of airbnbs I have stayed in. It’s my 38th birthday & Aliki made me the perfect gators, which I wore the next day hiking thank you so much. The place was peaceful, the bed was comfy, & we used the spa & it just set us into relaxation mode. Thank you for opening your space, we will be back.
