55 acres, natural spring fed creek, wombats and kangaroos, sensational views and a 25 acre pine forest all to yourself! Nestled in the picturesque Kosciuszko region, Wombat Pines is a charming rural property that embodies the tranquility and natural beauty of the Australian Alpine region. Surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, this idyllic retreat offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Wombat Pines is only 30-minutes from Cooma and 20-minutes from Adaminaby. It is characterised by its expansive landscapes, featuring sprawling sheep farms dotted with native flora and fauna. The property is crowned by a gentle hill, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. A babbling creek meanders through the property, adding a touch of serenity to the already peaceful ambiance. For outdoor enthusiasts, Wombat Pines offers a plethora of activities, from hiking, mountain bike riding, birdwatching, trout fishing, skiing, hot springs and exploring the magic of the Kosciuszko National Park. The property's rural charm and proximity to nature make it a perfect retreat for those seeking a quiet and rejuvenating escape in the heart of the Australian high country. There are currently no established campsites at Wombat Pines. Guests are free to set up camp in any location that works for them. We keep our bookings to one group at a time, so you know you will be the only campers on the property while there. There is a tiny house on the property. We kindly ask that guests do no set up in the immediate vicinity of the tiny home or the fire pit area in front of it. There are several nice camping areas and we suggest campers do a thorough reccy before setting up. There are also several good places for caravans, RV's and camper trailers. After booking guests are welcome to call Luke (the owner) to get a better idea of which areas may suite them best. Wombat Pines sits at approximately 1100 meters and does get snow in the winter months! +++ FIRE AWARENESS AND CAUTION +++ Campers must adhere to fire restrictions when active. All fires must be contained in a fire pit. ABSOLUTELY NO FIRES ALLOWED IN THE PINE FOREST. This could be catastrophic. +++ TOILETS +++ Campers must be self-contained and remove all toilet waste. A motorhome dump point has been installed at the corner of Polo Flat Road and Geebung Street in Polo Flat (Cooma). Located across the road from the dump point is a truck stop where fuel and food is available if required. Potable and non-potable water is available here also. This facility is available year round.

We had an amazing 2 night stay. The kids loved exploring the property while we relaxed in the seclusion by the fire. Very friendly and helpful host making us feel most welcome.
