Calming Views, Creative Inspiration
What a fantastic location and exceptional host! From the moment we arrived, Chris proved to be very accommodating and gracious, addressing all of our inquiries with enthusiasm. We felt like kids again as we explored the property - there was so much to do and to look at! The space itself is great, boasting a picturesque pond that we had the pleasure of exploring in one of the paddle boats following a stroll through the garden. Adjacent to the pond, there is a table and a fire pit where we cooked (firewood was readily available) and ate before unwinding on the swing overlooking the water, serenaded by the chorus of frogs as the sun went down.
It poured all morning but our stay in the wildcat camper was cozy and comfortable, affording us a peaceful morning watching the rain through the "sunroof" windows as we stayed nice and dry. The composting toilet was very clean and tidy and is a very short walk from both campers, which was also nice, considering the rain!
Since the airstream was vacant while we were there, Chris let us peek into that space too, which was also really neat. Both campers feature floors constructed from reclaimed gymnasium wood, just one of the many awesome details.
I wholeheartedly recommend this spot, particularly to those seeking a retreat where creativity can flourish. It is the perfect spot for anyone looking to unwind, play, relax, and find inspiration. Truly a sanctuary for artists and kids at heart.

Overall great experience. Surrounding areas were filled with things to do. Host gave us details of community events for Memorial Day. Lake Erie, Buffalo and Niagra falls are near by. The property was very unique with a special touches throughout. We did primitive tent camping. One of the nights we spent time near the pond with a fire. Host was kind, informative and available.

Our group had a great time. A very unique experience. Nice views and creative property. The camp was primitive and had a composting toilet. Host Chris very personal and answered us quickly. The surrounding area had tons to do. We visited Lake Erie, Buffalo and niagara Falls. Host knows area and gave a suggestion for a live band with fire on beach, that we enjoyed. The best part was VW Vanagon. Thanks for having us.

Magical solar eclipse getaway!
My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stay for the eclipse and happily stumbled across Christopher’s awesome campsite! The wildcat art camper was super cozy, comfortable and clean, not to mention so cute with the custom painting/furniture and lighting. It was predicted to be chilly at night so we brought a little electric blanket and we were aok.
Christopher was a wonderful host, was very responsive and after a long drive from Philly we were pleasantly surprised there was a bbq feast solar eclipse party, we felt very welcomed. His gardens and land in general is very beautiful and well kept. 10/10 would come back!

Camping on Chris's land was absolutely wonderful.
It had been snowing and raining the few days ahead of our trip, so there was a bit of mud on the way to our site - Chris was prepared with garden carts to help us carry our gear.
We had access to crisp & refreshing mountain spring water, lovely mountain views, and a lovely little community of campers and locals. During our stay, Chris threw a lovely Eclipse party; hosting several awesome musicians in his barn - literally a dream come true - and a potluck featuring some of the most delicious pulled pork I've ever had the pleasure of eating.
On our way out, we were welcomed to fill up our water bottles with the aforementioned spring water, and given specific recommendations for where to visit Lake Erie.
Thank you again, Chris. Your hospitality really kicked off our camping season right. We'll definitely be back whenever we can make it!

Goodschoolfarm Avion Art Trailer
Such a delightful experience! The entire farm is like a work in progress playground for adults and kids alike. Paddle boats, a plank-walkway to a little island, hanging chairs and climbing ropes, rock gardens, fields to explore, and art everywhere. It’s an easy place to unwind and meditate by the lake for misty sunrises, or to have a bonfire and loudly sing campfire songs accompanied by a deafening frog/cricket backup band. Chris and Co. are fabulously kind and attentive and provided great suggestions for things to do/see in town. We enjoyed their good company and appreciated their thoughtfulness in inviting us in to their events, and also giving us plenty of space to be solitary and do our own thing. In between campfires and sight-seeing, there was live music in their beautifully lit old barn, and even a homemade strawberry rhubarb pie.
As backpackers, this was a cozy glamping experience for sure, complete with electricity, 3 comfy beds, an electric burner/coffee kettle, and fresh springs bottled water. For folks more accustomed to hotels, be prepared for a lovely camping-ish experience with unregulated temperatures, no running water (yet! as of April 2024), the bugs and mud that come with farm life, and outdoor composting toilet.
Will 1000% visit again
