Idyllic stay at a convenient venue!
Great camping experience for the uninitiated! Wally is on the ball with communication, directions, and tips and tricks for a successful experience. His farm is a perfect blend of accessible and serene… as long as you understand that you are ultimately responsible for your own outcome.. To add: the experience reaches a new level when the fireflies come out at night!

Fantastic Weekend
Wally was extremely welcoming and sharing his property with us for our first time using our roof top jeep tent. The fireflies at night are magical and the property is beautifully taken care of. If you’re looking for a spot for a few days or just the night this is a great place to check out. The horses at night were our favorite. Extremely pet friendly our dog had a blast!!!!

Best Camping @ Wally’s Horse Farm
It was the best! Great night under the stars with campfire and wine! The location was close to everything we did; dinner in Kingston @ LaCanard Enchaine & Bike Trails near New Paltz!
The Damn Good Honey Market had firewood & the best damn breakfast sandwiches, it is a must to stop in, Jennifer is the sweetest! Last but not least, one of the best campsites I’ve been to, easy access but nestled near the pine trees, quiet & the campsites are not on top of each other. Wally was the best host ever, very responsive & easy instructions for information and arrival & super entertaining, this guys got a lively sense of humor, (he reminded my husband of Chad the Bird if there’s any fans out there or if not familiar check him out, you’ll get a chuckle) but I digress~ Wally, we had a super stay , thank you for hosting us on your wonderful farm, we couldn’t answer your texts, we had no signal, which was ok, it forced us to turn off and tune in. Anyway, hope you’ll have us back, it was a cool time, even with the rain~

Rustic Ridge View Farm (near Gunks)
I enjoyed my stay at Wally’s place and would definitely return. The farm and camp sites were beautiful and easy to find due to the host’s detailed instructions and communication. Many wonderful hikes the surrounding area and so much more to explore. This was my first time solo camping with my dog and we felt completely safe and comfortable. Perfect getaway if you are looking to escape the city and feel far away without driving too long.

Overall I was happy with the stay. Stand out item was the communications via text. They were outstanding and directions were great.
Good- Communications were outstanding and a very nice property. Also had decent cell signal on Verizon.
Bad- Not much privacy in the open field.
Ugly- Portapotty was a bit smelly, but unless it is new that is to be expected.

Awesome spot to camp, some sites are close to each other but you can pick where you set up and you still have privacy. Great communication and clear directions to finding the place. Breakfast bagels nearby were incredible!
