Fall asleep to the sounds of the waterfall on the Catskill creek!
Escape the chaos - find peace and solace among the Catskill mountains. Located directly on the Catskill creek in the hamlet of Oak Hill, you'll be sleeping to the sounds of the waterfall just steps from the site. At the foot of the waterfall is your own personal swimming hole.
Take advantage of the multiple hammock relaxation stations throughout the property and swimming in the creek. If you're up for a walk, the infamous Yellow Deli is just a mile down the road. We're just a few minutes away from Windham Mountain and various trails if you're the hiking type. Check out our "Must See" list in the tent for suggestions on places to enjoy during your stay.
This campsite features a queen size bed for two.
Site guidelines
Bring loads of extra blankets and warm clothing. Boots are a must. Although the driveway is kept clear, car should ideally be AWD or 4WD depending on weather conditions.
Consult your campkeeper. Let your campkeeper know when you are arriving so we can light up entry for you. Cleanup all common spaces when you leave. But, make yourself at home.

***We have added a second full size glamping tent, the same size as the main tent with a queen size bed. This is only available to you when you book this site with a capacity of more than 2 people, it will never be rented to anyone else when you are there.
***Coming spring/summer of 2025 we will be launching the official opening of our food truck onsite - come and enjoy a taco during your stay!Come fall asleep to the sounds of a waterfall on the Catskill creek in Locust Grove! Situated in the unique Hamlet of Oak Hill, the area has plenty to offer ( need recommendations? Just ask - we've got so many!)
Both tent sites are located on a creek overlooking a waterfall. There is an area in front of the main tent that includes a picnic table, outhouse, and fire pit. Both sites include a deck with 2 Adirondack chairs for lounging.
Guest can feel free explore and enjoy the 2 acre property - walk the paths or relax on the many hammock stations all around.
The creek and swimming hole will be private and yours to use during your stay.
The creek water can be used to fill the solar shower (or jump right in the creek!).
The site offers electricity in the tent, however, please note - this is weather dependent. During times of heavy rain or storms of any kind this is not guaranteed.
A wagon will also be made available to transport items from the parking area to the walking path that will lead you to the sites.
Note - the second tent will never be rented to another party during your stay, it is only rented to the same group/reservation.
I could write a book… the space is amazing! Believe me it will exceed all your expectations and then some!!! My son wanted to spend his 16 birthday in nature and this was perfect!! The tents are right at waters edge and the waterfall is right there!!! Plenty of space to explore. Mushrooms, trees, bugs, rushing water, rocks, beautiful nature can be enjoyed with all of the senses! Space was very simple and clean…everything you need to become one with nature!!! Too tier. Would definitely recommend! Host got back to me in a timely manner with any questions as well!
It was a dream to be at Locust grove cap site. A private creek and waterfall al to ourselves, wow! We felt luxurious in our extremely roomy tent with all the little necessities well thought of...including motion lights. The fire pit was amazing and they provided marshmallow sticks also!
Precious memories that we will keep forever. And can't wait to make more next time!
It rained heavily during our time, which wouldn’t have been an issue if not for the tents leaking quite a bit. Maybe they are not designed for heavy rain. We would have been fine with water generally but kept waking up with water dripping on our heads! :) It was beautiful and we would go back with better weather. The heater worked well and kept us toasty.
This campsite was even better than imagined. So beautiful and peaceful, well stocked and clean! Would definitely come back in summer when it’s warm to swim :)
Amazing stay, and was able to unwind and relax. Definitely coming back!
