Soaring view of Hudson Valley from tent on 100 Acre Farm - Direct Access to Empire Rail Trail - Fishing at our Pond! Walk to Appalachian Trail! Enjoy the stars at night and beauty of hills and valley from your canvas tent equipped with bed. Drive up or come by bike to private entrance to the farm from the Empire Rail Trail with a locked gate. The pond has a dock, there is a seasonal babbling brook, walking trails, wildlife. Fire pit, picnic table, outhouse bathroom. Rustic, simple, beautiful!Maybrook Farm "The Meadow" is a simple mowed spot in a meadow on our farm. It is currently only accessible directly from the Empire Rail Trail bike path, via a private gate directly from the bike path! This site is NOT accessible by car! The campsite is about a 1 or 2 minute walk from the bike path gate. It has enough space for several tents (bring all your own camping gear -- we do not provide anything but the campsite!) There is room for up to 10 guests on this site. On the farm, you will find grassy tractor paths that you can hike to enjoy the scenery and excellent birding/wildlife viewing opportunities. There is a pond with a dock about a 5 minute walk down the path. There are some signs to help you navigate. Please be aware that this a farm! Although it is peaceful, there can be noise from farm animals like roosters, from machinery and workers, etc. You will also be quite close to the bike path -- you may hear people going by. At the site is a small pop-up "camp bathroom" tent with a bucket and toilet seat inside. Garbage bags for waste, Lysol wipes, and toilet paper are provided. There is a jug of water with a pump for refilling your drinking water. We provide a garbage can with a lid down the path for disposing of your trash and bagged waste. We will send you a map when you book the site. There may be other guests at other camp sites around the farm during your stay, or walking past your site to access the bike path. Don't worry, none of the other camp sites are close to yours.

Rare empire trail-adjacent camping!
Tent
Grateful for this campground whose entrance is right next on the Empire State Trail. Pulled up here after dark and had no problem getting in or finding my site after a long day of biking. Pamela was extremely communicative. The site had a 5 gallon jug of clean water and a makeshift bucket toilet - very civilized!! There is cell service (for Verizon anyway). Note that this is a mowed meadow with no accessible trees, so if you’re tarp or hammock camping and need trees to set up, this is not a great option. Luckily the night was clear for me so I just slept under the stars. At $60, a little steep for camping, but idk how much traffic Pamela & fam get here so if that’s what it costs for upkeep, happy to pay it.

Tent
Wow. Gorgeous. The meadow was bursting with color and smelled amazing, and it felt like you had your own spot carved - You arent deep in nature, away from everything, but it still felt peaceful and intimate, much more than public campsites. Also appreciated that a little toilet was set up with amenities and they had a source of water. Super super easy access from the bike trail too. I would come back any season.

Tent
The site had an amazing view and great outdoor cooking/eating area. I also appreciated the homemade lavender soap. Unfortunately, the inside of the tent was covered with dead moths and dust and there was a mouse and baby mouse living inside of it when I arrived. I ended up sleeping outside in a tent brought from home. It was also very difficult to see the sign /where to turn to get to the site from the street.
