Grassy field. Natural woods. River accessible. We are located 30 minutes from Long Island, NY. Feel free to pitch your tent anywhere you like on the property. Choose the grassy meadow or the natural woods filled with trees. Have a campfire and enjoy nature. Bring fishing gear and cast away. Go for a relaxing walk on the 2,000 feet of walkable dikes right on the river. Bring your canoe or kayak and feel free to launch it right on site. If you're bringing an RV, we can accommodate vehicles up to 30 ft in length and the sites require levelling. There is a water hookup but no electrical hookup. Toilet & showers are available. Potable water available. Pet-friendly! Bring a bike and explore our dirt trails across the street. Or visit the man-made dam on Dam RD just 2 minutes down the road, where you can take a dip in the water. If you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, look no further! It's serene, peaceful, and private. So come experience it for yourself! Nature awaits!Feel free to pitch your tent anywhere you like on the property. Peconic River Campgrounds
Disappointed
As a trip to escape the city it was disappointing Note: the lake is not readily accessible as it appears to be in the photos. You have to climb over unstable planks that are submerged in water. The lake walk side is also narrow with few animals to appreciate. At night we did have obnoxious neighbors (at first noise) which we complained to the host about. We notified him at first verbally, we trusted his word to speak to them but nothing was done. I notified him again via messages an hour later that the neighbors now have their high beams on and directed to our tent while blasting music. Multiple contact attempts to the host were made until I had to speak with them personally and resolve it. Overall, if you value peace and quite this may not be the site for you. Even in the absence Of the aforementioned neighbors you can still hear the city life noises of trains and cars nearby.

We had a great time camping! It was our first trip and we planned it in less than 24 hrs! Tyler was so accommodating when we needed some extra firewood. The campsite was clean and surroundings were beautiful. We are already planning our next trip.

Just go it’s great
Perfect campground for the new or experienced camper or family. Absolutely NO bears snakes or even bugs. The grounds are clean, the host Tyler is just cool, the fiver is peaceful and Salish Splash is about 8 minutes away. Looking forward to going back soon. 5/5
