Dog Friendly and Fully Fenced!! This rustic 600 square-foot cabin with a semi-private bedroom and a fold-out couch can comfortably sleep up to 4 adults. The bathroom and kitchen both have modern amenities. There's a wood stove but also electric heat and AC and hot water. Huge sliding glass doors open up to a wrap-around porch. No TV, but Wifi. It sits on 5 wooded acres and nearly a full acre of cleared land is fenced, making it safe for dogs to run off leash. The house sits within the fenced in acre so you can conveniently open the doors and let your dogs run free. There is one visible house across the street from the front of the cabin but it feels very private in the back of the house. There is a firepit. There are two outbuildings onsite that are not available for rent at this time. The cabin is 20 mins from Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Mountain House, and 35 mins from Kingston, New Paltz, Gardiner, Phonecia and Woodstock. Local restaurants of note include Mill and Main, Roughcut Brewing, Westwind Orchard, Arrowood Farms, and Harana. We live in the chalet next door where we offer small group fitness classes most days of the week. Ask us for more info if you're interested.This cabin has been a labor of love for us for more than a decade. We bought it when we (and our dogs) NEEDED space away from NYC. Putting up the fence for our pups to run free while we renovated the house weekend by weekend was our first project. It's still very much a work in progress and we've since moved upstate full-time to the house next door - and had a (human) baby. Things have changed a lot but we're thrilled to now be able to provide a little getaway for people AND their dogs. We know hard it is to find dog friendly (and more importantly, dog safe) rentals out there.

Cute cabin, perfect for a little getaway. This was our puppy’s first getaway and she loved the yard for exploring and the covered deck to lay outside during the rain.

The Best Getaway
This is the best place to go away from the city. Our two dogs enjoyed running free. It’s gated so we were not worried. Watching them run and play was brought us so much joy. We booked another stay before this stay was even over. The place was so clean and peaceful. Sara responded immediately to my messages. I 100% recommend this place. This will be our future choice for a quick getaway.

Very peaceful and private
I had a wonderful time staying in queens cabin!! The hosts gave excellent directions and information, and the cabin was spectacular. Very private and peaceful, with modern amenities and comfort. My dog Willow was thrilled to find a safe fenced in rental area and had a blast. Everything was clean and comfortable, and clearly lots of love went into it. A side note for those not from NY, there are air sirens from the nearby fire station. My dog and I were surprised the first time, but quickly became used to it. Highly recommend and we hope to return. It was actually nice being disconnected from cell service for a time. Very restful, thank you!!

Our family loved our stay at Sara’s cabin. We were comfortable in the cabin’s clean, minimalist design, the skylight windows allowed us to see surrounding woods and a beautiful flush toilet. The site was midpoint to New Paltz and Woodstock, My kids enjoyed nights by the fire pit. I would’ve liked a microwave, there was a stove with pans. Other than that all that we wanted in our nature getaway was fulfilled! Thank you!!

Modern retreat
Just spent a lovely weekend away at Queens Cabin. Rain or shine this cabin offers a serene retreat at in a beautiful and secluded setting. It also offers modern and updated amenities to enjoy a home cooked meal. We would happily stay here again. Thank you for having me and my pups!
