WE ARE OPEN Stellar Views and Fresh Waters - New York City has never looked better! The campground is situated right next to the East River which boasts killer views of the Manhattan Skyline any time of day! The space is a massive open concrete surface lot a few feet from the East River. The lot is private property and is monitored by the 24/7 security in the adjacent building. The subway is 4 blocks away (G Train, Greenpoint Ave stop) which will take you to the city in under 30 minutes. Greenpoint Ferry stop is a few blocks away which will take you to midtown Manhattan in no time! Please note, that you might benefit from using a trucker app called "Trucker Path" while getting here since in some areas of Brooklyn you can't drive an RV. ** Site #'s are not official, you are paying for the accommodation of a hookup or non-hookup space, the on-site manager will give you an official site when you arrive**

Camping in the heart of Brooklyn offers a unique experience with its close proximity to transit and city attractions. The place feels safe and well-managed, with clean facilities and a helpful caretaker. However, some campers noted that the new bathroom facilities were not completed on time, and shower access was limited. Despite this, the area provides a secure and relaxed environment, making it an interesting urban camping choice.

This is an OK Hipcamp for being right in the middle of Greenpoint Brooklyn. The host. Alex is very nice, he’s always available to open and close the gate for you. There is a Pickleball court right next-door. And when I was staying there, they were some early morning pickle ball games. But all in all if you’re looking for an RV park right in the middle of Greenpoint Brooklyn, this is a great place. It felt safe and there are many amenities right in the area.

Overall, I had an awesome experience. It felt VERY SAFE and was close to all the activities I had scheduled. People are amazed that I went camping in Brooklyn! It was awesome! Having said that, some of the photos on the site give the impression that you will be closer to the East River and have a NY skyline view. So just do your homework and look on Google Maps to see exactly where you will be. In addition, I was assured multiple times that the brand new bathroom facilities would be finished well before my arrival date. They were not finished. There was a public bathroom in the gym that is adjacent to the lot, but it closed every night around 6 pm. In addition, the only option for a shower required me to have the Camp Host accompany me with an access card. As inconvenient as that was, the fact is, the Camp Host was not on site for most of my visit — meaning NO access to showers. I have to admit, I was pretty annoyed by that. But I found a way to improvise and not let it ruin my time. I could see that the bathrooms would probably be done in another week or two. So if the bathrooms are finished, I would DEFINITELY stay again AND recommend it. I would not hesitate to recommend it for people who have an RV outfitted with a bathroom. Like I said, it’s a very safe and quiet area and it was so cool to be camping in Brooklyn.
