Vehicle site 1 (Cornfield Site)
We enjoyed our stay. We originally booked the cornfield site but when we arrived Brandi and Nathan offered us an upgrade to a creek side site that was more remote. Having two dogs with us, it worked our great for them to roam and play. The property is close enough to the Great Smokie Mtns Natl Park for easy access, but far enough away to avoid most of the tourists. It was very quiet and we enjoyed hearing the creek.
The site had a very clean porta potti and shower house was close by and very clean as well.

Appalachian Pond was so good we decided to stay 2 nights instead of one. The Cornfield site offered great views and privacy from the other sites. The camp hosts are friendly and quick to respond to any questions that arose. 10 out 10 will stay here again.

Not what we were expecting
The caretakers seemed really nice and the campground was quiet, for the most part.
We didn't expect the amount of gravel involved with getting to the campground, half-mile of gravel road then additional gravel in the campground. Much of the gravel was soft due to necessary changes caused by Hurricane Helene. There was also a 4-6 inch drop from the road to the driveway that we were told would be knocked down by the owner. It wasn't while we were there so exiting the campground was difficult. We did not drop our bikes, but with the soft gravel in the campground, it was close. We ride large touring motorcycles, Goldwings, and were pulling trailers behind our bikes. Navigating the campground on these bikes was difficult. We were also awakened by two trucks, we assume was the owner and a caretaker. The trucks headlights were pointed directly at our tent for some time while they had a conversation at 11pm. While inconsiderate, I assume this was a one off event.
Be aware there is much gravel. This site could work for cars, adventure bike riders, or people who aren't bothered by gravel.
For the price I would expect access to a flush toilet. I advise they at least put some lights in the port-a-potty.

I enjoyed my stay, I was just passing through so it was short but I would definitely stay here again and would enjoy a few days the next time. The directions were clear which made finding my site extremely easy. The Camp hosts were great, Nathan came by to talk right away and was very welcoming.

Great camping spot that’s close enough to town, but far away enough to feel like you’re camping in the woods! The drive leading up to camp and the pond are very pretty, and the camp has all of the amenities you could need. I was at site 10 and it was secluded and peaceful. All of the hosts were very attentive as well. Would definitely recommend!
