Nestled in the heart of southeast North Carolina and conveniently located an hour from Wilmington, Jacksonville and Fayetteville — our 40+ acre family land is situated directly on historic Black River. Well known for its beautiful trees, wildlife and fisheries, Black River is also home to the oldest bald cypress forest in the world, many being alive hundreds of years before Jesus walked the earth. We are the only riverfront camping experience on Black River so we aim to provide you the best views, the most exceptional hospitality (from hosts Lisa and Eric), with hopes that you leave completely happy with our little piece of heaven and wanting to return year after year!

Another memorable weekend spent at BRCV with good friends. A small, but pristine campground that connects you to nature. Our host, Lisa, was amazing as always. She is very responsive and takes great pride in the stewardship of this property. We will continue to return as one of our favorite getaways year after year.

Awesome hidden gem!
Everything about this place exceeded our expectations! From the tent sites, to the location, to the fishing. My personal favorite was the dock area with hammock swings overlooking the river. What a gem! I can’t recommend this place enough!

Beautiful river and campground
Black river campground is the nicest I've ever seen! We kayak and have a beautiful camp fire at the end of our paddle. Lisa is an awesome host!!

Our Magical Black River Experience
Lovely camping and all sites are on the Black River. A cacophony of owls, frogs and cicadas at night giving way to birds in the morning with no drowning out of nature songs by generators. Lisa was very responsive to our calls and questions and made sure we were safely off the river after our bald cypress/Black River kayak adventure. All the stars aligned and good weather, nice flow to the river, and best of all, we made new friends with our fellow camper.
