Nestled in the heart of southeast North Carolina and conveniently located an hour from Wilmington, Jacksonville and Fayetteville — our 40+ acre family land is situated directly on historic Black River. Well known for its beautiful trees, wildlife and fisheries, Black River is also home to the oldest bald cypress forest in the world, many being alive hundreds of years before Jesus walked the earth. We are the only riverfront camping experience on Black River so we aim to provide you the best views, the most exceptional hospitality (from hosts Lisa and Eric), with hopes that you leave completely happy with our little piece of heaven and wanting to return year after year!

Site 12 - Black River Camping Ventures
Beautiful+well-maintained+expensive
The site is beautiful, well maintained, and peaceful. The toilets are clean and everything is well organized. Our main complaint is the price - it's very expensive for the amenities that there are. It was between 2 and 4 times more expensive than other campgrounds we stayed at during our 1-month trip. Considering that there is no drinking water or showers, the price is extremely high.

Family time
Lisa's property is beautiful! Very well maintained! Squeaky clean Porta potty.. an added bonus! Caught lots of fish! Smores and family bonding/memories! Absolutely the best camping spot ever!

The spot we had was perfect . The very end next to the pier. We had a great time. The place was clean and the Linda was very nice .We definitely be going back .

Site 4 - Black River Camping Ventures
There are only 12 sites and they are spaced out nicely. Lisa makes her rounds of the property 3 or 4 times a day and keeps everything very clean. She and her husband are very friendly and helpful. I am an older lady and I camped by myself and I did not get nervous at any time staying there 3 days. It was a very peaceful, wonderful relaxing way to decompress and get mind and body completely relaxed. I will definitely camp there again.
