Site 1 - Black River Camping Ventures
Beautiful Riverside Campground
Lisa's campground is a beautiful setting, well maintained, and the perfect spot to launch any Black River based activities from! There's a little beach and swimming spot on site, and lots of space. So much wildlife -- we saw so many species of birds, frogs, insects, and a beaver 🦫!! Lisa is responsive and helpful. Thank you for maintaining a beautiful place. It was wonderful to disconnect, and to reconnect with the Earth

Site 12 - Black River Camping Ventures
Kayaks and sounds of Black River
Lisa is a phenomenal host. The site was everything one would want from a camping site. 5-star all the way. Lisa communicated with our small group in the most helpful of ways and we always had everything we needed. We had a very dynamic stay (kayaking and sound recording on the river) maybe compared to other campers, and it all went expectionally well. We even ran into locals in the area where our camping site came up into conversation and they always commented, "Oh at Lisa's site? She's awesome". Reputation says it all. Site was immaculate, fully complimentary, and easily accessible. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended. Bottom line: if all camping sites were set up like BRCV, I'd camp way more often!

Site 11 - Black River Camping Ventures
Well I got there early just to find the place then I go get my food. She drives up on me like I'm trespassing. Then after I get my site up and she comes by again. Giving me problems about my dog. She was a bully breed mix. The one and only campers already came by and meet her kids loved her. She walked right by her saying she is a dog lover but walked by mine without acknowledgement of her. It says on some reviews that you can run your dogs no one was around and when she came by gave me problems about her sitting under a canopy chilling right by her leash. Which I didn't have it on from her run yet. Also I brought my small generator which again there was no one having problems with it but was only on for about an hour to charge a battery bank and my fan. BTW there isn't any rule saying anything about generator nothing but 10pm quite time. This was at 3pm and my neighbors didn't care only she did. Also don't bring your own wood she will have a problem with that as well. Had wood left over from last trip just right down the road in NC could see that was a problem as we'll. She makes rules up as she goes.... if your her age and doest talk back you will get along fine here. Very pretty place but rules are only for certain people here! Also if you want to fish from the bank it won't happen with kyakers rolling by with metal music blasting. Also others after hours as well!

Site 2 - Black River Camping Ventures
Camping with 2.5 year old.
What a great place to camp and enjoy the Black river. The water levels were unusually low in our case which meant we could wade across the entire river with ease. Shocking few bugs and managed to catch a fish. The area is also extremely well kept and clean. 100% will be back.

Must stay!
We went during the week so ended up being the only campers there. Lisa was a wonderful and very sweet host. The site itself is very well kept (maybe the cleanest campsite I’ve ever been to), and the views are amazing! Very easy to find your site when you get there. We spent most of our time in the river either swimming or kayaking

One of the coolest camps ever. So many wildlife species all together. I’ve never seen such an awesome ecosystem near a camp. !
