T-17) Tent Site- Park close to Site

This is a gorgeous place to camp tucked up just north of Boone. We chose a chilly time in March to be there with lots of intense wind and rain. I would love to experience the site in the warmer months! I especially liked the sites down below by the creek and fresh water pond and wish I’d known about those when booking. Our site was lovely surrounded by rhododendrons. And very private and quiet. You do have to hike gear down a little hill to set up at T17. The bathroom and shower facilities were very nice. Would love to come back in the late spring/summer.

Blue Bear Mountain was an awesome home base for our NC adventure. We enjoyed exploring the hiking trails and learning about local geography. Mike was a gracious guide that went above and beyond to teach our children about the area. All the common areas were clean and well kept. Thanks for the great trip!

Fabulous stay. Yurt was warm and cozy. Bathrooms super clean. Very nice tent and rv sites. Will definitely come back!

Great weekend staying in one of the domes! It was perfect for stargazing and having a more relaxed "glamping" experience. Would recommend!

C-09)Pull Through Site/Powered Tent

Quick trip to the mountains to get a Christmas tree and Blue Bear Mountain was a great spot to overnight. We didn't arrive until after dark, and the relatively steep road up to the camp at the top was a little daunting at night, but the team was kind enough to set up small cones at our campsite so we would have no trouble finding our spot in the dark. The camp staff was very friendly and accommodating. A beautiful view in every direction....we look forward to coming back next summer.

We have stayed here many times over the years in tents, camper trailers and now our Sprinter. Always a good time a Blue Bear! The bath house is clean and a welcome sight after a couple of days without. We will be back soon!
