Grass Tent #4
This should go without saying, but load the map prior. The service dropped for me about 10-15 minutes out, but I had it downloaded, so was good.
Scott was kind and pretty chill. There were a few people doing tasks while we were there, but they kept to themselves, unless guests approached them regarding questions about the goats or chickens.
Speaking of which, our 2 yr old son was really excited about getting to walk up and see the goats and chickens up close. There were also some cows across the little creek on a neighboring property.
The campsites have plenty of trees and shade. The original reason we chose this campground was due to the trees in the pictures because we had several hammocks, in addition to a tent. The trees were clutch the following morning during a rainstorm and blocked about 80% of the rain as an added bonus. We also had a fire ring with wood we added to our order already split and stacked up waiting on us.
We never used the bath/shower facility, just the little plumbed outhouse. It was serviceable and had a nice cedar smell. Not industrial by any means, but would beat leaning against a tree any day.
I would definitely stay here again.
Grass Tent #3
Mixed feelings.
The tent camping area was nice. Shady and flat. Provided fire ring and firewood. We had access to clean spring water for drinking but could not figure out how to work the spigot and had to have the host help me. The flush toilet was also great and there was a shower if I wanted but I did not use it. The hosts were very nice and they had a general store for absolute necessities. The goats and kids were cute as well as he chickens . The family dog, Lilly came to visit . She is a sweet girl. The hosts were very friendly and if I needed something they were there I had forgotten by bug spray and as the hostess was going into town for something he said he would have her pick up bug spray for me.
The bathroom was not very clean though. The property, although states is a working farm, seemed to need repairs. He advertised there is a movie projected on Saturday nights. The kids were excited for a movie but he said he was missing something and could not do it. Kinda of a bummer. The host also advertised he has a goat parade twice a day, but we only saw the goats pinned up.

Upper RV/Campervan Pad
1st time Pop Up Camper- Family of 3
This was our first time camping with our pop up camper and our 6 year old boy. From the time we got there, Scott was helping us get it parked ( he is patient). We go unpacked and noticed our tire was low on air- Scott brought us a compressor and got it fixed. Our site was actually the lower RV spot because my suv is not strong enough to get up the hill - or it was my driving. We had an absolute blast. It is big enough that we felt we had plenty of privacy, but small enough that everything was in close proximity. The Dollar General is about 12 miles away so make sure you get what you need before you turn onto 294. Scott and his wife sell ice in their store so that helped a lot. She also has freeze dried candy that she makes which was a big hit with my son. I loved how Scott and his wife let people borrow whatever they needed. They had everything you would need to have a fun family camping experience. I would definitely recommend this for small children as well as the teens. WiFi worked better than my home WiFi. I had the impression that goats would be everywhere just roaming around, but they stay in their fenced area and come out only when Scott walks them. So don’t worry about dodging goat poop. We took our 3 dogs and they loved it. We had an excellent time! Also, our air went out and Scott came right over and showed us how to reset the breaker box. We would definitely go back and do it again.

Great location and hosts! The goats are extremely friendly and social and it was a ton of fun to have them around while camping. Reasonable distance to a lot of great hiking, water and food/shopping. Would definitely recommend and come back :)

This is a great place to camp! The host Scott is very pleasant and helpful. He has made this place a comfortable and fun place to visit. And who can resist goats and the perfect farm/camp dog Lily?? We were very pleased with the accommodations - especially since I am on currently on crutches with a broken ankle!!
We would definitely recommend a stay here!!

You can never go wrong with goats!
Scott and Nancy were excellent hosts! Our boys absolutely loved playing and learning about their sweet goats so much we even ended up coming home with two of them! We would highly recommend camping here if you are looking for a get away. Their store is super convenient and full of handmade items by Nancy that you can not pass up. (Candles, soaps, lotions, and more!) Scott was great with our kiddos as well, letting them play with the goats and chickens and providing us recommendations of fun places to adventure to while there. We will definitely be back! Thanks again for your welcoming hospitality and time.
