Our site was once part of a much larger farm growing tobacco and raising cattle and other farm animals.  The existing tobacco barn was built in the early 1960's.  The concrete pad used for RV camping was used to store silage for the cows.  The non-potable water source is a mountain spring that has been used on the farm since the 1930's.  While many tobacco barns in the area have been torn down for their rusted tin roofing and rustic siding, we have worked to restore the barn and preserve its history.

This site was a great spot to stay for a night on our road trip. Easy to find, good ground for staking a tent. The bugs weren't too bad given the proximity to the creek. Bathroom was clean. Would recommend!

The colorful sunset with pinks & orange was magnificent! Fireflies fluttered about in the dark. The babbling brook’s sound was soothing and so enjoyable.

Toddlers First Tent Camping!
Incredible mountaim views and clear starry nights. Great spots, but a real trek uphill if unloading a lot of gear from the parking area. Lovely trickling stream right behind the campsites, only issue was poison ivy every around the edges of the woods. Nice mountain breeze the whole time We were there!
