Robin's Round - Big Streamside Yurt
Authentic souls 🙏
I was heartbroken, dirty, hadn’t eaten in three days, and had been living in my car with my dogs for two weeks while doing relief work before the Appalachia brought me to Mineral Creek. She knew I needed someone to see my heart, take me in, feed me, and give me a safe place to rest so that I could even make the four hour trip back home. She knew it would take the leadership of Rob, Eleanore for me to even allow that to happen and that Tonya’s kind spirit and friendship would be what my heart needed to open up and talk so I could begin to heal! They will forever hold a special place in my heart! 🙏

Salamander Sanctuary - Campsite
Mandala Magic! 🖖 Best camping ever
I loved yurt camping at Manadala’s land! Perfect view of the river from my tent, soothing sound of the stream and waterfall all day and night, magical pond to splash in, cool hiking, awesome community house, great outdoor shower (with HOT water, thank YOU!), and amazing community of lovely individuals. Salamander sanctuary will definitely see me again. I can’t wait to camp at Mandala springs ❤️

Mountain Camp by a Forest Stream
This place is truly magical. I came here on a solo trip to disconnect and it was absolutely perfect. The entire area is so peaceful and beautiful. You can hike on trails right on the land as well as gorgeous places in the local area. The only feedback I really have is the bathroom outside could use a little love but other than that is was a wonderful experience!

New home away from home!
Okay first off, this place is stunning. It has an immediate energy to it as soon as you step foot on the property. The tent camping spots have a good amount of space and you do get to enjoy the euphony of nature along with the babbling water. Every human I met and interacted with was lovely, warm, and so welcoming. The stream was crystal clear and the moss covered rocks along the way made it otherworldly. This land and its people exude community. My partner and I wished we could have stayed longer than a night. We most definitely will be back soon for a much longer stay!

Black Bear Abode - Glamping
The bell tent seemed brand new, as did the bed and linens which was nice. We appreciated the firm mattresses. Things to know: this is not a creek side tent The neighboring tent is EXTREMELY close and everything in either tent can be heard. Hearing our neighbors activities throughout the nigh really diminished our trip. We also felt as though we had to be extra quiet to have any privacy. The compost toilet is not a compost toilet and just a bucket in a tent. We were told to haul our own bags if it got too full. Additionally the seat on the bucket did not fit well and wouldn’t stay on the bucket correctly. It is also very very close to one of the bells tents. Make sure to ask about sauna times and prices as we found they vary greatly You just have four wheel drive or you will have to park down the mountain a bit.
