A small homestead on the bank of Abbotts Creek near where it feeds into High Rock Lake. Peace and solitude , but close to the amenities of town. Less than a five minute drive to the grocery store, and less than a fifteen minute drive to uptown Lexington. Public access for kayaks is less than half a mile away. And the view is unbelievable! We have a corn hole board and bags now available for use, as well as a few other yard games. Please let us know if you are interested in using them. The edible landscape is available for you to enjoy. A list of current available items is posted in our greenhouse, as well as baskets for picking and foraging.

Cabin camping is great!
With pets ·
The little cabin was so cute! The bed was comfy and there was enough room in the loft for our 9 YO to sleep at the foot of the bed on their sleeping pad. The electric heater was helpful during the cold night. The wood stove was fun to cook on. The outhouse was perfect - it was the first time we had used a compost toilet. The swing and all the hammocks were fun. The outdoor fire pit was perfect for cooking and s'mores. The open space was perfect for frisbee. All the little touches were so thoughtful. The signage was great! And the night lights were perfectly timed. We loved walking to Abbot's Creek. We loved seeing the animals. It was all so lovely.

An amazing stay!!
Group trip ·
Such an awesome, cozy cabin with a great morning view. Brought 10 people, purchased the tent site and the cabin. They allowed us to tent in front of the cabin. They provided us fire wood and we had a great time. Lovely, friendly host. Will come again!

Very kind people. They've got me wanting to install an outside shower on my own property one day, it was very nice even on a night of 61 degrees. The area with platforms is very private, dimly lit with assorted solar lights, and very quiet. Close drive to grocery stores and places to eat. I'll definitely stay again if I'm ever passing through again.

We had such a lovely time at the cabin. It rained torrentially and the wind was crazy. All Saturday night I kept waking up, listening to the rain, and sleeping again. The loft was so warm and cozy- I was just as happy as I could possibly be. We also had a great time checking out the farm animals and exploring Lexington. And of course Darrel and Natalie were very generous hosts! I want to come back again soon with my daughter and dog.

Awesome property!!
With kids ·
The land itself is beautiful in the part of the state that it’s in. The standout is the attention to detail thats present. From the details inside the cabin from homemade coffee, all the supplies, wood for outside, wood for the inside stove. All the solar lights to help guide you around, supplies, etc. Outdoor toilet…..5 out of 5, just saying. They even offer services for ice and others if you’ve forgotten. These folks are the real deal, legit either as a single, couple or with kiddos! There is access to the water by kayak easy but creek fishing was a challenge. That would be my only suggestion, highly recommend this property.
