PLEASE NOTE: Due to insurance coverage, fireworks, firearms and ATV's of any kind ARE NOT permitted. Campsite situated on 73 acres of lush privacy at the foothills of the Uwharrie National Forest. Enjoy hiking on the extensive trails or fishing and canoeing in the pond. Crystal clear, large flowing creek gently winds through the property. Abundant wildlife including deer, turkey, opossum, raccoon, skunk - even the occasional bear, coyote, and wild boar have been caught on game cameras. Only 1 hour from Charlotte, Winston-Salem and Greensboro, yet feels like a world away. 30 minutes from the North Carolina Zoo and the Carolina Treetop Challenge at Rock Creek Park. Minutes from Historic Gold Hill, Tuckertown Reservoir, Uwharrie National Forest and Badin Lake. Tents only please; as the road to the campsite is narrow and. AWD or 4WD may be required during wet weather. Cars that are low to the ground are not recommended. We have table and 2 bench seats, fire pit, water, trash bin, toilet, a canoe and noodles to use in pond at the pond site. Peaceful Easy Feeling

Had such a fun time! Site was very private and away from all the hustle and bustle (couldn’t hear anything but nature). Host was attentive and brought us extra firewood :) property had well managed trails and our dogs enjoyed their off leash privileges. 10/10 would camp again!

Perfect Camping Destination

Peaceful Easy Feeling

This place was absolutely perfect! We had such a fun time camping, canoeing, and exploring the woods! The stars were gorgeous at night and we could hear the frogs and the barred owl calls. Couldn’t have asked for a better camping destination! We were able to drive right up to the camp site and had plenty of room to relax and explore.

We had a great time! The hosts have water (and wood if purchased) ready for campers when they arrive. Really nice, clean area to hangout and plenty of spots to set up tents. We appreciated the wood, water, & watercloset available.

Peaceful Easy Feeling

We loved spending the weekend here! It was so peaceful, quiet, and private. It was easy to get to with clear instructions and signs leading you to the campsite. We loved using the canoe and fishing off the dock! Salem was a responsive, helpful, and kind host. I highly recommend staying here. We are hoping to come back in the summer!

This was an amazing camp area! Loved the privacy and the area around to explore. We went on a rainy weekend and still had the best time! The host is very communicative and helpful. Definitely going to book again in the future
