Through tapping the maple trees for syrup in the winter to foraging for edibles in the spring there is no end to enjoying the land. Learn more about this land: Enjoy primitive camping with just a touch of conveniences, where ferns cover the forest floor. With two natural springs on the property, it’s a wonderful place to watch birds and deer pass through the property from your hammock or campsite. Nestled in a lush forest teeming with ferns and wildlife, Daniel's campsite offers a serene escape that's both secluded and accessible. Campers appreciate the well-thought-out amenities, like the cooking grate and the composting toilet, which make the stay comfortable without losing the rustic charm. While the trail to the site is a bit rocky and requires a short hike, it adds to the sense of adventure and privacy, making it ideal for those who enjoy a more natural setting. The welcoming host, Daniel, adds a personal touch with farm fresh eggs and maple syrup, ensuring guests feel right at home.

Really nice spot!
Tent · With kids
This is a beautiful, private spot! Tons of trees, a really nice fire pit and it’s secluded. We went with a group of friends, our daughter and two dogs and had a great time!

Fun weekend
Tent
Had a great weekend tarp camping at Daniel’s property, despite getting a lot of rain. Loved the fire pit area and the cooking grate. Site is private, a little bit of a hike, but not bad. Water available from a pump or a spring. Overall, a nice setup not far from Columbus. Great communication.

Beautiful Wooded Area
Tent · With kids
Absolutely beautiful space! The wooded area is gigantic and really amazing. The tree cover keeps it cool even on hot days, too. My trip was a camp out with my ten-year-old and some of his friends and they loved it! You do have to set up camp on a little bit of an incline, but it was no problem for us. Also, don’t overpack because it’s a couple hundred yards from the parking to the campsite (this is more of a positive than a negative since the area is so nice and secluded—just something to keep in mind). Also, the hosts were very kind, accommodating and responsive.

A nice quiet spot in the woods! We heard owls and a fox. Saw several deer and enjoyed perfect weather at this hipcamp.

My wife and I loved tent camping here. With a few bonus amenities (eggs for purchase, cooking grate, some lighting, water, etc.), this is a great option while still being remote! With there only being one site in the listing you have the space to yourself. Easy to get to and a welcoming host! Looking forward to returning in the future!

Hitched a tent for a night here, and will definitely be doing so again. Daniel was welcoming and helpful and the campsite was super cute. Especially loved all the lights and the hand painted signs.
