Located less than a mile from Lake Erie, our 1860's brick farmhouse is an area icon. This seven acre homestead is where we grow our own food, raise sheep, chickens and bees, bake sourdough bread, brew beer and wine, and create art in Copper Leaf Studios. We are a monarch waystation and have several acres dedicated to native pollinators, plants, and trees. Much like our farm's name, our place is warm, welcoming, rustic, and a bit gritty. We are advocates of inclusion, local community, and sustainable living. We love telling and hearing good stories. We believe in the powers of kindness and peace. We hope to share our part of the world with others. We have firewood onsite for HipCamper use. Our breakfast is not to be missed (included for Peace Portal & Covered Wagon sites; optional for tent campers) and features farm fresh & local ingredients. We offer an outhouse with a composting toilet as well as a traditional flushable half bath with running water and power. Pets are welcome. Message us if you have any questions!

Farm Stay Tent Camping

Beautiful campsite!

We had an amazing camping experience at Flannel Dog Farm! It's our best Hipcamp stay yet. Lots of privacy, but also great interactions with the delightful hosts, Alan and Chris. We highly recommend getting the breakfast. It was delicious and the tea choices were vast. Loved waking up to the birds singing all around us, petting the sheep and seeing the chickens scurry around the property. Hope to visit again soon!

Peace Portal Tiny House

This was our third visit to the Peace Portal! A peaceful place to be away from the city, get a great nights sleep on a farm with an amazing breakfast too. Alan brought us an extra post of coffee too. Alan is a super host and we cant wait to return.

Farm Stay Tent Camping

Fireflies and Yoga

Solo woman camping at this farm was great. Easy access, host helped with directions and made me feel welcomed. No shower but nice rustic bath with flush toilet and electricity. Went to sleep with fireflies and had morning yoga on the new wood platform. Nice.

Peace Portal Tiny House

Great peaceful weekend getaway

We had an amazing couple of days at this property. Alan and Chris were incredibly kind and welcoming and made us feel at home. The bed was very comfortable, and every morning we woke up to the most beautiful view. We loved the delicious home cooked breakfasts by the water, listening to the frogs and watching the birds.
