This property is our family farm where we have lived for over 40 years. My mother, son and I live in one of the houses located on the property. I was looking for something to do with the property when I came across Hipcamp. If people like camping here, I plan to make improvements to the camping area. We hope you enjoy your time here! Learn more about this land: We have 10 acres in the country. It is normally quiet and peaceful. Fields are flat with some ruts and have trees on three sides. Deer, rabbits and other wildlife can be seen. Wild blackberries grow throughout the field. Shade trees are available. I have mowed 'cubby holes' that have more trees around them for those who want more privacy.  Fire pits will be provided as the weather allows. You choose where to camp, so you get to pick the amount of privacy that you want! Calm pets are welcome, as long as they remain on a leash/tie out. A camping stove and camping shower/toilet are available. We have various camping supplies - if you need something, please ask! We may have it. If you have a large group of campers, contact me. We'll see what we can get together for you! A small country store is about 5 minutes away, as well as a Christian Union church camp, in Nipgen. If you need a bigger store, Waverly is 20 minutes away and Chillicothe is 30 minutes away. Chillicothe offers an outdoor drama about Tecumseh, along with Hopewell Culture National Historical Park, Adena Mansion and Gardens. The Harris Dental Museum is in Bainbridge, as well as the Paxton Theater. There is also an Amish community that offers a general store and a bakery. Serpent Mound is about a 45 minute drive away. Dogwood Pass is about half an hour away outside Beaver.  State parks within an hour's drive: Pike Lake, Paint Creek, Rocky Fork, Lake White, Scioto Trails, Tar Hollow.  Available:  1 Shower/restroom tent with camping shower/portable toilet.  1 Full size air mattress 1 camp stove (bring your own propane) 2 outside metal lounge chairs without cushions 1 mini cooler that plugs into your car Depending on where you are in the field, you MIGHT be able to pick up our WIFIWe have 10 acres in the country. So quiet and peaceful!
Tent · With kids
Fantastic spot! I didn't have much time to explore the property as we arrived at midnight and left at 6 AM but it was peaceful, private, and perfect! We might reserve again on the way back from Canada in 2 weeks. Thanks Brian!!
