Turkey Hollow is nestled in the rolling hills of Holmes County Ohio. We are right on the edge of the largest Amish settlement in the nation. The primitive campground is in the corner of a small 40 acre farm owned by Matt Polcyn. He started the campground 8 years ago because of his love for nature and real camping. He enjoys traveling in many places in the States and the Caribbean islands and loves finding places off of the beaten path and not commercialized. Because of his interest and love for primitive camping he decided to open the campground in order to provide the same opportunity as a getaway primitive camping location that he tries to find when he travels. We now just added a in the trees, warm water rinse off area.

Rustic Camping in Turkey Hollow
Quick Camping & secluded site!
Rustic Hollow campsite was perfect for the quick trip to the outdoors and was secluded enough from city life. The many campsites on Matt's land were set up perfectly with fire ring, picnic table, and a spot for your car. MOST of the campsites you had to walk down due to the steep terrain but there are multiple campsites that were driveable with your car. Our site was perfectly located in the woods with no one near us for 50 yards but the sites were quite spread out if you wanted them to be. What's even prettier was waking up to the cows that are fenced on the property. - dog friendly - secluded - firewood on site - quiet camp site * will certainly be booking again soon, maybe this time with friends! -

Tent camping with the cows!
We loved the dispersed camping! Amazing views, alot different from Arizona views. Loved seeing and hearing the cows. It was very peaceful. Definitely would recommend staying here!

Lovely
I loved the camping sites in the woods, the wooded surroundings muffled or even eclipsed all outside sound. Loved the owls and insects all around was wonderful.

Rustic Camping in Turkey Hollow
Overall was nice and private. We were riding the OTET and getting to this location is very difficult on bikes loaded with gear. It is a very primitive site- but that is exactly the description. Not a bad experience- just not for OTET riders.
