Escape to Kiamichi Mounds, where history meets nature on the Kiamichi River. Camp on ancient grounds once home to Native Americans and immerse yourself in serene landscapes, untouched by modernity. Experience the timeless beauty and tranquil spirit of southeastern Oklahoma.
Why Choose Kiamichi Mounds?
Reconnect with History: Our campsite is set on land once home to Native American tribes, where their stories and traditions still resonate. Gaze at the same star-studded skies and immerse yourself in the landscape that shaped their lives.
Stunning Natural Beauty: The Kiamichi River, with its natural waters and lush surroundings, offers breathtaking views and tranquil serenity. Whether you’re fishing, kayaking, or simply lounging by the river, you’ll find peace and inspiration in every corner. This small camper is located right on the Kiamichi River with access to a canoe. There is an outside compost toilet, no water, with solar power as an electric source (right now it's only powerful enough to run the lights and small camping fan or 2). We have several camping supplies that we can loan so just ask and we might have it! We also have some loaner fishing poles if needed. Close proximity to Sardis Lake, Clayton Lake, Lake Nanih Waiya, and Clayton Trail.
