Learn more about this land: Pitch a tent on our 186 acres of FARM CAMPING and enjoy a gorgeous nearly untouched wilderness experience and bring your fuzzy socks and boots if you want to add in an equestrian experience. Nobody around for miles - LITERALLY! 12 horses on site if you like to ride and camp all at the same place. Gorgeous and serene ! Pricing for trail rides - sleigh rides separate. You can also bring your own horses for horse camping we have a beautiful new facility to accommodate almost any equestrian need. Upon arrival you can safely park your car and we can if desired carry your gear and you pack to the camping acreage via our tractor or golf cart or simply walk yourself - it’s not far. Our outhouse is near the main house - we have access to a SOLIS X for an extra fee if you need WIFI. Farm fresh eggs also available to cook over your fire from our 12 new and amazing chickens ! Free of charge ... we will do anything possible to make your stay comfy and relaxed. Please note - firewood is available for an extra fee (we prefer if you don’t bring your own since some can be infected with invasive species and we try to protect the area as much as possibles). Firewood is $6.00 a bag and typically includes starters and kindling) depending on the local supplier we use. Coming in the summer - fire pits - bunkies - GLAMPING - and more but for now - come walk / hike our endless trails lined with black berry bushes and wild strawberries along our “secret garden” and enjoy absolute privacy and solitude knowing we are sort of nearby if you need anything at all. We are new at this - just bought this amazing property but we are here to share the experience- WELCOME to our journey - we are at the first step. If you have any questions please ask ! We want to accommodate everyone as best we can :) Need a baby seat or carrier - we can help ... if you forgot your rain coat just text us, we’ll run one out to you and if you want to ride the horses as well .. just let us know your experience level and we will try to accommodate (it may not always be possible so please ask in advance it cannot be done on arrival) . We have very skilled trail guides and coaches on staff and we offer husband horses for those in the know :) We don’t have any set prices for trail rides yet so give us a shout and we’ll work it out but typically we offer lessons at 75.00 an hour - it’s difficult to price not knowing skill levels and staff required to support your experience so we hope you understand. Mostly we want you to come - unload your baggage and walk into our little slice of heaven ... we call it respite for your soul and we think you’ll think so too. Happy Camping!We have a beautiful luxury romantic geodesic dome for you and your family - outdoor shower - outhouse - Bluetooth speakers - running water - outdoor kitchenette - loads of space for kids to pitch a tent on the dome site. All new linens and bedding for your queen sized bed… barbecue and all the comforts of home. Happy to provide a pack and play for small infants and a futon for younger children or extra guests. Small pets welcome but they do need to be managed around the horses if they are unfamiliar with the large fury friends. Kitchen is outdoors - antique ice box - bbq - outdoor washing area - large covered area for cooking and indoor outdoor dining facilities. Pots - pans - cutlery - flatware- basic spices - bbq utensils (all the basic needs are here for you). You are most welcome to interact with the horses and chickens - just let us know and we’ll make the introductions safely and ensure an enjoyable experience for all. This dome site is fully off grid - everything is run off solar or propane so you have the experience of camping but with most of the creature comforts of home (most) 🙂 there are over 50 geese, ducks, chickens , turkeys, rabbits, and baby goats for your kids or the adults to enjoy ! Please bring a portable potty - potable water - firewood if you need more than a bag if your just basic camping (dome site has it all) There is no swimming hole - it’s been a very dry summer 👀 no fishing either (strange weather). Also please note there is a noise curfew of 10pm as others are using nearby sites possibly. And please keep fires manageable and be mindful of size and always extinguish before retiring before turning in at night 🙂 Happy Camping!

We had such a wonderful time at Southwinds Farm! The site was at the back of the property completely secluded from people it was so private and felt very safe at the same time. It was nice clear area in the trees with space for a very large tent or possibly multiple. The walk into the site from the car was very pretty and wasn’t long with a trail to get to it. The animals were all very sweet and well cared for and you could tell were very loved by the hosts! Everyone was so kind and helpful, ready to find us anything we might have needed to make our stay even better than it was!
