As is usual with rural areas, there are biting bugs (mosquitoes, blackflies etc.) at times but keeping the front door closed at all times will help keep them outside. All the windows and the door on our Cabin have bug screens and we also provide Bug Zappers for Guests to use during their visit.
You will hear birds, squirrels, chipmunks, our chickens and our rooster, wild turkeys, wolves, coyotes, owls, bear, moose, ravens, bobcats and dogs.
At times, you can hear chainsaws, tractors and generators but most of the time it is a quiet.
Also, there is a train that goes by twice a day and sometimes small planes fly over when there is an event at the small airport in our town.
