I've lived here for 7 years but have grew up in the area my whole life. The mad river ranch offers a great get away from your busy life. I have two ponds on the property and a little spot that has huge rocks in between the ponds that us really neat. The mad river runs along my property. Swimming etc"90 minute drive north from Toronto""free fire wood"There is a very cozy cabin on site with a front porch and a bed 🛌. There is a is electrical plug to charge your cell phone! There is a forest with great trails for walking or snow showing. The river is great for swimming, tubing (tubes provided) and fishing. Great views of the sunset when sitting by the fire pit. 30 minutes west of Barrie, 25 minutes south of Wasaga Beach and 35 minutes south of Blue Mountain. Come relax and enjoy quality time surrounded by nature and see the stars on a clear night. In the winter the majestic snowy owl can be sighted 10 minutes away. The ofsc trails are 3 minutes down the road for atv/utv and snowmobiles. We look forward to hosting you. There is a rv on site with hot water/tv/microwave/toilet. Additional cost to rent the rv out.

Great camping around the fire
28 ft Class C · Group trip
This site was great. You have it all to yourself and Blake is happy to help with anything. He brought us lots of logs and kindling for the huge fire pit that is on site. We had a great evening around the fire with our ‘young adult’ kids 😊

Divine sunsets .

The site is lovely , acres to walk around on , or play fetch . Lots of fun playing in the river . There is only one site so you get it all to yourself , the sunsets across the valley are absolutely amazing . Lovely to meet Blake and his gorgeous little boys .

Cabin is nice and clean, full bed. Floor space is almost enough for a blow up mattress, the lot is nice, not much privacy inbetween the home and cabin, parked the cars as best we could for privacy.. fire wood was good and dry, provides axe, hatchet, paper, tortch.. blake is great, he let us know if we needed anything to let him know.. river was good, solid current, goes quicker than I thought. My son had a great time. Hiking trails as well but we didn't get around to going in there.

Blake is an amazing host who went above and beyond for us. The site was very clean and private. Beautiful property with fishing pond and river. Full view of sunset from site. Will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.

Adventure close by!
28 ft Class C · With kids
Excellent weekend with the kids at Mad River Ranch! The host was very friendly and showed us around. The site is perfectly equipped with tables, benches, fire pit and there's even a plug to charge your electronics! The Mad River was great with our young kids (5 & 7) for paddling, wading, finding rocks, crayfish, bugs, and all kind of creatures. Lots of space to run around in the fields and we didn't even venture into the forest... We'll be back to Mad River Ranch soon! It's only a short drive from Toronto that is even worth it for one night stays!
