Monarch Ridge has one private new cabin camping site. We are off grid with many amenities. There are 8+ km of groomed trails through softwood and hardwood forest, and meadows, a large Blue Heron Rookery, abundant wildlife, deer, elk, milk weed meadows filled with monarch butterflies, and birds galore. Also, set up with private paddocks to bring your for horse bed and bale use, with great trail riding. 5 minutes to lakes and 10 minutes to town for shopping and restaurants.Beautifully situated in a private meadow. OFF GRID new 10x18 cabin, solar lighting, Bluetti charging station, large deck, fire pit with wood supplied, has twin over double bunk bed, a double pull out couch, (bring your own bedding-clean top sheet provided) ,dishes, pots and pans, outdoor cooking, bbq, coleman stove, wash up area with well water, outhouse deluxe with clean seperette toilet system and wash sink. No shower. Many Lakes close by for fishing and swimming. For horses: 2 private paddocks with clean full water trough. Has 8+ km of groomed walking/horse riding trails and multi-use trail system close by. Birders paradise and an amazing dark sky setting. Owners on property.

Campfires allowed

Firewood provided, firepit, private. Local fire regulations must be adhered to, including fire bans if in place. This is off grid & bonfires only in provided ring. Important to never leave fire unattended. Pls fully extinguish with provided water after each use.

On leash. Quiet pets on leash or cable allowed. Pls do not leave in cabin alone. There is much wildlife on property, including horses, deer, elk, turkey, rabbits, occasional porcupines. Please pick up after your dogs.

Tap, bottled water or jugs. Water for wash up and for extinguishing bonfires

Bins available

Recycling bin, trash bin. Garbage and recycling to be picked up by hosts. Please sort and use containers provided.

Cooking equipment present

Bbq, private, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, sink or other dishwashing station. Outdoor cooking only. Small bbq and a 2 burner coleman stove provided with pots and pans and basic cookware, to be cleaned by guests. Please bring a cooler.

Picnic table present

Some Outdoor furniture provided.

Horseshoes. Lots of room to bring badminton equipment, croquet set, etc in meadow in front of cabin.

Wash sink in the 'Loo' and outdoor laundry sink. Shower installation pending.

Cabin camping

Megan and Charlie are wonderful hosts. They have a spacious cabin and beautiful views. Trails are great for hiking. Their land is just so peaceful and green. We enjoyed our stay.
