If I were ever in the area again - this would be the only place I’d want to stay. Kelly and his partner were the kindest ( and coolest) hosts! If you’re thinking about staying here for the night while trekking the trans Canada trail or just in the area, I would highly recommend it! I thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet and spectacular view! Was an added benefit seeing their horses roaming the property. The bathroom was clean, the well water was delicious, and the hosts were extremely kind. The spot itself is in the back end of their property and well hidden from the road and trail - speaking of trail - their property backs onto the trans Canada trail so it’s literally just steps away. They provided a couple of chairs, a table, and a fire pit with a grill on top of it. The site is on cut grass and a decently flat piece of land! The south end is wooded and the east faces the field. The west has a large barn which blocks out some afternoon light so you can hang in the shade on a warmer day. The famous doubes trestle bridge is about a 5 minute walk from the property too. Overall 10/10!

We really enjoyed Kelly’s campsite. It was private and very relaxing. Access to the trail was very convenient. Friendly touches of hospitality such as access to firewood and fire pit, potable water and toilet made our stay comfortable. As an added bonus we got to watch the hosts training with their horses. Kelly is an excellent host who accommodated us with friendship and respect.
