The year 1989 birthed the renowned Windells Camp and High Cascade Snowboard Camps at Mt. Hood, Oregon. What resulted today is a 28-acre action sports mecca that serves as the pathway for nearly every action sports professional and these special Roamer Sites give you a sampling of that experience. Nestled at the foot of Mt. Hood and its year round lift-accessible snow, these adventure rigs sites for #vanlife, roamer trucks, and nimble RVs place you on the campus of one of the world's premiere destinations for actions sports. We also offer glamping tents. With Sandy Ridge mountain bike trails within a mile, and over 40,000 sf of skateboard park, there is something for everyone. Your Roamer Site one of 18 featuring a communal campfire and picnic tables. From 5-7pm M-F and 7-10AM Sat/Sun you'll have access to our private indoor and outdoor skateboard parks, mountain bike trails, and fitness center. Want coaching and more? We have that! Site 7 - Heated Action Sports Glamping

Stress Free Get Away

We wanted a stress free getaway where we didn’t have to worry about our tent and sleeping situation. This was PERFECT! Their roamer site tents have two twin beds with heated mattress, comfy comforters, heater, clothes rack, fan and a cooler that can be borrowed. Bathroom with single shower was not too far away and they were clean! Most importantly they have a mini hike in the back where you can find their beautifully crafted sauna and cold plunge. I was amazed and even found wild goldfish swimming around. What made this campsite unique is the fact that it’s situated behind Wy’East Mountain Academy which is a boarding school for teens that want to learn how to skate, snowboard etc. Feels super safe and secured and the host was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back winter time! Thank you for an amazing getaway

Coolest campsite I’ve ever been to!

Very welcoming and cool spot. It a skate park and much more attached to it. Very to the max extreme sports concept. Half of it is a boarding school for extreme athlete kids. The campsite area is separate from that but are allowed to explore and us as much as you want. The creeping area is very nice, clean and comfortable. Definitely a A+ experience

Kind and caring people made for a great stay. The staff was attentive and worked to make you feel comfortable. The hiking trails were beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. A great little getaway.

Site 9 - Action Sports Adventure Rig Sites

This was such an amazing trip with our kids! Jim the camp host is a super kind man and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. The other campers were all very quiet, the cold plunge and sauna weee located in a beautiful are a short hike from camp and our kids LOVED the skate park. We didn’t realize the skate park is associated with a school so hours were limited but still had plenty of time to play. The only negative thing I would say is the actual sites are a little narrow for campers but that’s more of a heads up for future campers and we still had plenty of room. We loved our experience camping here and plan to make it an annual trip!
