Learn more about our land: In the heart of Willamette Valley AVA and on a breezy 20-acre lot of land we provide a space for you to set yourself up and enjoy life's natural bounty. We offer a small shared space with a wood fire stove and some essential items, many games (such as horseshoes), and lots of picnic areas and tables sprinkled throughout the property. The location is central and half an hour to just minutes away from water bodies Hagg Lake, Nestucca River, Yamhill River, little Niagara Falls, Mill Creek, Baker Creek, Rainbow Lake and more… Such as the Carlton public pool. If your looking to jaunt from camp a little further, we are located a little over an hour and a beautiful drive to the Pacific Coast and about an hour from Portland. Although in the middle of the country woods, we are surprisingly only two and a half miles from the adorable and quaint town of Carlton. So beside the views, you’ll be alongside some fantastic eateries and outstanding winemakers.  Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty.   ꕥ  The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. There are two family homes on the property with people who truly admire this land we have been given so we do ask you to respect our process in this adjustment, as we miss our grandparents and parents who have worked their entire lives for us to be here. With the work of these past couple seasons, and thanks to our fellow campers, we have been able to lay more gravel, get a more fluid bathroom situation established, and have purchased a 20ft stargazing tent that is in the works of being listed this season! So thank you for your support in this venture and in any form, I’m excited to be apart of your adventure and hope to see you in our neck of the woods soon! ❊ ❁ ❊  - Whitney

It felt very private! There were lots of mosquitoes, so make sure you bring bug spray. It was very quiet and peaceful. The porta potty was definitely rough. The place kind of seemed abandoned, but that added to the secluded feeling.

Quick Trip
Directions to get there were good. Steep hill and tight turns going up to the site might be difficult on some bigger rigs but there was a 5th wheel parked there so if you are good with a trailer, it should be ok. We got there late and left early so we didn't have time to look around that much but from what I saw, it was very nice.

Peaceful and Quiet Camping
We had a peaceful and quiet weekend in the fields near Carlton. As suggested in the description, we walked around the site, then picked the perfect wooded camp site with a fire pit. Beautiful views of the valley looking north and west. The glasshouse was a nice addition and included basics.

Roads around the property need to be lit at night, mowed down and better marked.Better sign out front.Bathroom facilities needed. The outhouse was beyond gross.Otherwise property very pretty and Whitney the host was very nice and accommodating.

A great spot to spend a weekend! We really enjoyed the tranquility and being immersed in beautiful wine country. Tent site was comfortable and accessible in a low-clearance car. The glass house was a nice place to cozy up to the fire, just wish it had more candles! (We forgot to bring any kind of real flashlight, oops). Next time I'd recommend bringing a generator to power the outdoor basketball court string lights too. Otherwise, the site was great, thank you Whitney!
