River Front Retreat #4
Nice stay at River Front
We spent two nights at River Front retreat. The site was very spacious and private. Our dogs enjoyed running around. The surrounding landscape was beautiful. It's a nice location and easy 20 minute drive to get to the ocean towns in the area. There is a bit of road noise, but the location made up for that easily.
Joshua was also very helpful in getting us a refund from Hipcamp due to a last minute cancelation we made due to a car issue.
We will definitely stay there again when in the area and recommend it to our friends.

River Front Retreat #2
Great riverside spot. Tons of space between the sites so even with other people there it felt pretty private. Lawn games, picnic tables and fire ring were enjoyed by all. Excellent fishing and floating right from camp.

River Front Retreat #2
A very nice peaceful big and I mean big open area. You could fit around 10 RV trailers in our spot. Grass was recently mowed. Great views of scenery to look upon. Games were available for usage if wanting to partake. Nice fire pits and quite a bit of firewood to use on your stay. The tall 100ft tree provided enough shade during the day. Road traffic noise was there but did not deter us from our pleasant stay. Will definitely recommend this hipcamp spot to our friends.

River Front Retreat #2
MAGNIFICENT!!
We came for a visit a little early in the season, but Joshua went through extra effort to mow the gigantic field right alongside the majestic Umpqua River, which we GREATLY APPRECIATED! While we were the only ones there, couldn’t help but think how this spot would be AWESOME for a large group to camp. Porta potty was nice to have and clean too!👍🏼 We definitely plan to return for another visit!!

Total River Front Retreat
Private camping !
Joshua’s property was huge and we had the place to ourselves so it was most private!
At night, we got to hear the wildlife, such as the foxes barking for a moment which was a unique experience and the nights were peaceful. I got to see a fox, and lots of Canadian geese loved to visit the property constantly, as well as was nice to see bald eagles nesting close. There were other big birds that lived near as well and were not scared of flying close to us. What surprised me was the river, it was shockingly warm and I wasn’t used to that! The water changed with the tides of the ocean because the ocean was near so sometimes the water would get really deep and then other times it would be really shallow. There were rock formations so pools would form so swimming was great and it was nice to use our floaties to float in the river. At night, it could get chilly so make sure to bring some warm clothes. At the same certain part of the day, it got windy, but then it went away as quickly as it came. I loved the little beach where you could sit next to the water when the water was shallow or mid shallow. There are hiking options near and the beach is near as well. The host, Joshua was most communicative and very helpful !

Total River Front Retreat
Great find w/ easy water access.
We all had a great time and the dogs loved running free. Great big area for
lots of trailer and campers. Would be a great place for a family reunion or large gathering. Josh always responded in a quickly matter. The water was perfect for small kids and further out for paddle boarding. We would rent this property again and so would everyone else in our group (6 adults and 3 kids). The swings on the property were a huge hit and the kids even met the neighboring campers and were friends all weekend.
